I know chonny what happened to our babies.   Mine is now at kindy and toliet trained and the size of his older brother. hi kelly!
my two littlest are usually up between 4.30-5am EEK! yeah i dont like it much lol.

toby just turned 1 last week i cant believe my baby is 1!! what a HUGE year it has been, sooo full of ups and downs.and im soooo pleased to be feeling heaps better in general. things are much better, more organised and just in general im better. still suffering from a HUGE lack of sleep but am getting about 6 hours sleep in (even if its broken lol)

kel- i hear you on the time thing!! although i d get some moments of chill out now that kayla is at preschool 2 mornings a week and when toby has a morning nap

chonny- goodluck with the toilet training sounds like he is doing really well. that is awesome!!! and great bout his talking. lol i think its the age they are at cause kaz has her tantrums too! haha man she packs good ones kayla isnt toilet trained yet, but has used potty lots i guess i should start being more consistant with it now though and get her out of nappies it will be good to have one less in them.

Things are busy busy here too. We have started toilet training again. things are going WAY better this time. we started on Saturday & the most accidents we have had in one day has been 2. i'm quite pleased.

I have no time to fart let alone anything else with these three keeping me on me toes! It is amazing how the whole dynamics change with three. Its nuts! I think I will look back in a couple of years and it will all be a blur!!!! LOL



Chonny ..I cant believe your little man is 6 months! GOD! How are you doing with the two of them? I hope all good!

Rachel....you must be so organised and on to it!! 4 is amazing. I could just never do it!

My two are going well. Happy boys..full of life and loads of smiles and laughs!
Brennan is huge at 9 months like Blake was. Big 12kg man. And Blake is still growing..altho thinned out and grown up he is still a heavy lump at 20kg. Kills my back sometimes!


I HATE the early mornings....what time do all your wee people rise and shine?

hi!! its been ages since i have been on ohbaby! wow!

great to see some updates of our gorgeous aug 06 babies

kayla is doing really really well. started preschool start of feb one morning a week which has now gone to two mornings a week and will stay that way until she is 3 then may increase again.
she is LOVING it- does cry for a brief moment as we are about to take her and just leaving her but settles really well.

she has outgrown that horrid stage that i was struggling with (thankfully!!) still loves to be boss with younger kids though.

life is pretty busy in my house but i still love it my second girl emma has just had her first week at school! eek! she coped a lot better that i thought- i didnt though!! i missed her terribly! haha.

Wow, i guess we are all so busy with our new bubs & stuff that we forget bout this thread huh.

Vincent is doing great. Loves David to pieces. Almost too much sometimes. lol. Does enjoy growling like a bear at him & scaring him. Not sure how to stop this as have been trying hard as to do so & it not working. lol.

Vincent is bout 12/13kg i would think. We tried doing toilet training but he had no clue what was happening so we stopped. I think i missed it. he was ready when i was bout 8mths preggy with David but it wasn't right timing for us as a family to try. That's ok. We will get there. we had progress this am in that he told me he was doing a poo. So we shall see what happens. I'm not pushing it at the moment.

I'm keen to find a kindy for him to go to that will take him this early, just need to get my A into G & do some inquiring. He loves being social & is a happy lil chap.

My gosh ladies - I'm the first post this year!!!!

Well I'm not the best at keeping in touch but have been checking in.

Ethan is doing really well. He was 14.2kgs and 93.5cm at his 2year visit.
He is really good with Brooke - only tried to sit on her once
He is hopefully starting kindy soon - small town + lots of kids means he might not get in until hes 3.

We have started toilet training..... going not too bad.

Hehehe! I so know what you mean, Benjy is very persistent when he wants to do something. Sometimes in a defiant way, and then we get tantrums but most of the time he'll just keep trying with this cheeky, charming smile on his face as if to say "oh come on mummy, how can you be mad with me?"
He and Ella are playing together really well now, although the games often dissolve into fights.
I just love watching them chatting away and giggling together. Well we have been in a big bed for ages probably about 6 month's he wanted to be like his bro they share a room. As for being sick Rach big hug's hun I have been ill as well totally sux. it isnt easy with a new baby for the toddler, but it does get better
toby is at a great age now and loves his big sisters as much as they love him. he even laughs if they get a bit rough (with their kisses and cuddles) now as opposed to crying!!

kayla is doing good, improving a lot with her behaviour again, very polite and im just loving her can be difficult at times around other kids but it is better than it was.

she is in her big girl bed now too, loves that. coped with the change better than i thought- in fact she changed when we put her in it! started sleeping better at night! woohoo!

im a bit crook at the mo- getting over it now though wasnt easy a few days back though with 3 kids on my own in the day.

Roll on Summer...Blake has had a cough and runny nose forever and now has an ear infection and when he got up yesterday all his eyes were all yucky..so off to Doc we went and eye infection too! Going to invest in some major immune something I think....

I am getting there..have good days and bads days where I just dont know what to do with them..Blake tends to try and get all my attention or climb on top of me when just three of us home....He is enjoying his three mornings with Porse lady so thats good and gives me a break to do whatever...well usually nothing!!!

Elle is in a big bed too but hasn't yet tried to get out. She gets up and down fine during play time but doesn't get out when it is sleep time.

Poor girl was just up crying. She has a cold again. Her 5th one in about 8 weeks. It is rediculous. I'm used to 1 cold a year max! Poor kid. She doesn't even go to daycare so I have no idea where she gets them from. mel, i hear ya on the sick all winter thingy. after having a cough for almost three months, we now on anti b's & if they don't help have to try an inhaler. hope benjy starts to feel better soon.

How is everyone going with their toddlers & new bubs? Have you had nay probs with 2yr old adapting?

We moved Benjy into a big bed last week too.
He's been so awesome and has adapted to it straight away. Mind you, he's been able to get out of his cot for ages so the freedom isn't exactly a novelty for him, hehe!
We've got a cover on his door handle too Kelly and I've upped the security with locks on the dangerous cupboards and tv cabinet etc because he is soooo determined and curious now. Scary!
Poor little guy is sick again, we've had so much illness this winter and I'm just feeling so helpless. I wish I could magic it away for him, its so hard seeing my kids miserable!

thanks rach, ooops sorry alia & fiona, my bad.

We had a lovely day yesterday, grandparents came for a pancake breakfast. Oh & Before that we showed him 'somethign special' which was his new bedroom covered with balloons on the bed & floor. He was so excited & squeeled like we've never heard him do before. Put him on the bed & he threw most the baloons off then foudn the presents that were under them & opened them. He was so excited.

So grandparents came for brekky (in laws up from welly) & we had brekky & more presents. He coped SO WELL with teh excitement & everything going on. My parents left & we decided to take him to BUtterfly creek. He has never been in the butterfly hosue & thought it was so cool. Had a great time then home for bed & woke him to take him to mcd's for his party.

All in all a fantastic day. We were home by 7.30 & he was in bed by 8 in his new big boy bed. I just can't believe how well he coped with the busyness & excitement. didn't phase him one bit.

Seb is Sunday and Elle is Tuesday

hope Vincent had a good time today, my mum's coming to stay for the week, arriving probably in the next couple of hours. We're having a picnic tomorrow, on the island in the middle of the harbour (please hold weather!) and then taking Seb to the zoo on Wednesday with both his grandma's.

I still have to make seb's cake. Planning on doing last minute shopping after mum gets here (so we're not out when she arrives!) and then make his cake tonight, and ice it tomorrow.

alia- between jade and kayla there is 3 years 10 months and between emma and toby there is just over 4 years and they are both great gaps. emma is a real mum to toby, absolutly adores him and is very helpful so there are good things about slightly bigger gaps too

Thanks for the support guys. Really was looking forward to the 2.5year age gap, would have preferred 18months-2year gap... now It's going to be nearly 3 years at least

Kel that right our boy's are the same day. Well we have been back at doc with our mikey again today his skin is so raw and he has an awful ear infection so stink for him. Seb's a lightweight too, he's about 86cm (me measuring, him wriggling - hence "about") and I'd guess at 12kg, not sure on weight though.

yea i'd like to keep Vincent in the cot but feel it's about time to move him. Wasn't going to change bed as well as bedroom but thought it might be easier to indtroduce the big boy room with the big boy bed. We are painting up a room for him & moving him in there within the next couple of weeks. He knows it's his big boy blue bedroom, and we have talked about the big boy bed. Am hoping it will make things easier at night too. well we all good here except Mikey and his ezhem a
poor wee man get's so frustrated and upset.   And ht is so bad on his face at the moment and there is not alot we can put on it.   Can't believe its only 7 day's till he is 2   where did that time go. my bump is good really small. Can't believe how fast it has all gone. I have a really sore hip have done for the last 2 day's. Hugs Mum2emj. I have a strong willed child who can be furious at times too. She started hitting other kids a few months ago but as soon as the chiro treated her she stopped and hasn't really done it at all since (unless she gets pushed).

Elle is very strong willed and her latest thing is to scream at the top of her lungs if she gets mad. She gets the most furious look on her face afterwards. Crazy to see such little people looking so grumpy. It seems to be subsiding tho as we just ask her to use her quiet voice and if she screams again we ignore it totally. We are not allowed to try until Dec. Doctors orders. I am having monthly "tumour hcg" tests as if any molar cells remained they will regrow and I'll need low-dose chemo to get rid of them. Fun! could it be a bit of lack of communication? a friend of mine when her twins were younger, one wasn't talking but the other one was. Well the one that wasnt talking started biting the other coz she couldnt communicate to her and there was a bit of jealousy i think. anyways, by showing attention to the one that wasnt biting and ignoring the actual biting from the other one, the one that was biting VERY QUICKLY stopped doing it.

yip, thats what i keep getting told, but i dont want it to just keep happening.
when kayla was a bubba her big cousin came back from aussie and began pushing her over for no reason and i HATED it. she always got away with it and wee kayla would be in tears on the floor.

kayla is truely a lovely wee girl who seems toof gone from one extreme to another where she is super cuddly and gives heaps of attention to the child then the child who doesnt like it pushes her away nd she gets in trouble for being nice!!

it must be so confusing, like she is naughty if she is nice and naughty if she is bad so what is she to do?!! i feel so bad for her.

around the house and with older kids (which she is used to) she is fantastic 98% of the time, so kind and lovely

but then theres the times when the younger ones visit and out comes mean kayla, i have notcied though that its when she doesnt get her way, like if she is trying to communicate with the child and they dont understand?

kayla is a wee girl who knows what she wants and likes to get it

i dont want to have to be a hermit crab and hide until she has "outgrown"it

oh rach i'm so sorry to hear that. my friend's lil man had the same thing. good kid i guess, but i stopped going round or hanging out with her coz he wouldn't stop hitting n pushing V. ahh!! i am going insane here. i feel like a complete failure as a mum. have tried everything to make kaz a nice girl, she is soooooooooo lovely but soooooooo rough and i just cant deal with it anymore. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH . it is soooooo embarrassing, i feel like i cant take her anywhere and i cant have friends around cause she pushes their kids over and makes me look like a bad mum. i thought she was coming right but nup.

i have a runner too! we go places and kaz likes to go in buggy and walk, she isnt the easiest kid either as she doesnt always listen but we are slowly giving her that trust and she is learning that if she behaves and stays close she gets to walk beside us... if not she is trapped in the buggy.

still trying to work on her pushing and teaching her to be gentle etc... it is also slowly starting to work. if someone has a toy she wants she has learnt to get another one and swap (with the odd whack on the others head to say its mine!) lol, but she is getting there.

Sounds very similar to Mikey fiona he is so full on. And run's all the time. From us when ever we ask him to come he turn's run's the other way. Can't believe he is going to be 2 soon tho.   And OMG his language skill's are amazing I think casue he has big bro teaching him lots of word's.

Oh and I use a harness for Mikey now especially in carpark's etc I can't keep up with him at the momnet and ratehr not risk it. Even if every now and then I feel like I am walking a dog.
