The sleep consultant I spoke to recently reckons they probably have high sleep needs on account of being a bit prem. So if I reinstated the dream feed they'd probably sleep till 10am!]]>

I'm reluctant with the whole juice thing coz I want them to drink water, and I remember the dietician telling me with Maya that filling her up on juice would just make her eat less food (when we were trying to make her grow).<br />They're still not eaing a huge amount of food either, but I'm not so worried about that, I'm only worried about the milk with the constipation thing. If they don't go properly today I am going to give them some brown sugar in water. I'm tempted to give them fruit for every meal today <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"><br />For what it's worth, I've tried a bit of really diluted juice in their sippy cups this morning and they aren't any more interested than they were in water.]]>

They seem fairly confident with their sippy cups, so leave those nearby for them to use as they please in between formula feeds? As for the constipation I have no idea - we have never really had that problem (quite the opposite in fact). Are they allowed prune juice, or coloxyl?]]>

It may not make em take more and has gotta be more sugary etc than what you're giving.. i spose i'm meaning the effects of giving lots of juice outweighs them having more instead of giving em the milk and water. I don't give any fluids but milk... hes not consipated either (huge explotion today)<br />Sorry no quick fix or real advise just letting you know their not the only ones on a milk strike. (I am hating throwing away made up formula too)<br />Oh heres some advise found he would drink better in a dream feed... could try that before you head off to bed.]]>

And they each had about 30ml of water.<br /><br />I *know* they aren't having enough fluid, but how the heck do I make them take more? Should I try giving them juice instead of water and see if they drink more of it?<br /><br />They used to have a bottle at 4pm as well, but I've recently cut it out coz they would only have about 40ml then wouldn't eat a lot of dinner and then take a pathetic amount of bedtime bottle at 6pm. But they're not taking any more of the bedtime bottle than they did when they were having the 4pm as well.<br /><br />They're sleeping fine, but constipated <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0">]]>
