hehe I beat it Dh got his tax return the other day - a whole .64cents to pay. Then today got his student loan repayment and a whole .10c to pay - ??? cost more to send the silly letter out than the debt itself. DH got one like that on his student loan account but it actually said 'this amount will be written off blah blah blah...'

He got another one saying he owed $17 something, but it was rather ambiguous because the tear off part down the bottom that he had to send in with his cheque for $17, it says 'amount owed: $0.00'

Would they write off $17??? I got my personal tax summary on Saturday in the post and they told me I owe them $1.23 yep a whole one dollar and twenty three cents. So this morning I ring up and ask about the under $9880 income rebate and I don't qualify for it (something about work hours) so I asked for the account number to pay my huge  tax bill to. And I was told that it is written off. Why then did they send me a bill for it then???? At least I know next year I won't be getting anything from them.
