My DH was away recently, but "only" to Christchurch.... do you think the lack of sleep is a worry thing? About him being away or you being at home alone (aside from Ethan but he's probably not much of a warrior in the middle of the night
)
And how does Ethan take it when your DH is away? I got out some movies and tried to do some special and different things with my girls when their dad was away. A bit of distraction really.
Ethan's 4, perhaps he could have some consequences also. With Hannah (3 1/2) I will offer her lunch, perhaps two choices of what to have for lunch, and sometimes she'll just nibble and then say "I'm full" and get down. Many times I'm almost certain that she couldn't be full on that! (Her 2yo sister eats more than her LOL). But anyway I just tell her that it's the last thing she's getting before afternoon tea (or whatever next meal) and is she sure? And if she says yes, that's that
I'm not being mean to her, I just need some sanity... 5 meals a day for 4 of us (me and 3 girls) is enough and I can't have grazing as well or the whole house would get covered in food LMAO!!
Oops sorry went a bit OT there. I don't know much about the PND, haven't had it myself, but I thought some practical things in place - like routines, or the lunch thing for Ethan - may help. (Probably in conjunction with meds if that's what you need.)
