Both me & DH have Southern Cross health insurance and are tossing with adding the girls. Does anyone have their babies/kids covered and do you think it's worth it?

Yes and yes.

So totally worth it, have a look at the recent threads about health insurance.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Absolutely! I've claimed more in 5 years for my kids than I have in 25 years of having it myself. Wouldn't be without it!
And if you add Emma within 3 months of birth they cover even congenital/pre-existing stuff...

Definately, we got Lauren covered from the day she was born. She worked out to be about $20 per month I think it is?? Not much really IMO.

absolutely...if they have problems like ears etc you dont have to wait.

Southern Cross suprised me with their service. I rang them beforeTom was born, asking what we needed to do. Someone must have made a note and THEY PHONED US after he was born to sign him up....I was still in hospital! Fantastic.

costs about $19/month for a hospital-specialists cover whih I think is a bit steep....but oh well.

yep added Ella minute i got back from hospital...and was on Emmas advice too....and even knowing we could see spec for poss clicky hips etc was a big help...let alone what might happen in future..

I think with your bubba Emma being prem you should def add her in case of future issues and same with Gina...well worth it! waiting lists for public are horrific and you can quewe jump to go private
