Yay our list is growing

owwhh that sounds painful monikah!! I dont have sore boobs yet but i did with ds which i think i got around 6w so i guess i will have to wait and see but yea i remeber it was really painful and itchy.Dont think that your a freak huh, its totaly normal to be emotional with all those hormones buzzing around.Today i read a poem i want to write in a card for dp for fathers day and it made me cry!! haha soo not like me to cry over something like that

Ive been really crampy lately which has been on and off for about 2 weeks now so im thinking its a mixture of implantation and because my body thinks i should be having af now. I had to have a nana nap today coz i was soo tired! its hard work making a heart! hehe

Yay cant wait to see my mw tomorrow!!

Don't worry Mon I am being a total emotional nightmare this afternoon!
We are in the middle of an overseas move and the paperwork and trying to set up viewings for rental properties over there is stressing me out BIG TIME!!! My poor DH doesn't know whats going on!
Not very good timing to be majorly emotional with everything we have going on at the moment. Also got a call today that DH's grandad had a stroke today! AHHHHHHH!!
I think I will have a nice bath and just concentrate on the wonderful fact that IM HAVING A BABY YAY!!

It's amazing how something so little can drain the energy from you huh!? I lay down for a nanna nap this afternoon and slept for an hour and a half and only woke up cos Hubby came home and slammed the door!

I'm still having cramps which are making me a little nervous but did another test today and the line is definately darker so thats a little reassuring. When are you guys getting confirmation bloods done? I though I would wait until Monday to ring Midwife now as I will be 17 DPO then.

I had antenatal bloods done two weeks ago by my friend who is a doctor, she suggested getting them done before hand so you can act on anything if you need too, like getting a booster for Rubella, luckly mine were all fine cos I was already 5DPO!!

Dont worry Monikah, I'm exactly the same,I'm dreading telling my parents aswell! I'm 28, married and also have a house and a career, and they were not impressed when I told them I was preggy with Mr 8 months! (although they love him to bits now). i can only imagine how they will react when I tell them I'm preggy again haha! I think I will wait as long as possible to tell people this time
Mrs B, I'm having heaps of cramping too, but I think I got it last time aswell, so trying not to stress this time.
I got bloods taken yesterday and have left a message for my old midwife to contact me, it's starting to feel a bit more real now!

Hi Ladies.

Well I POAS this morning and got my BFP. It was VERY strong, but I'm not surprised as I am nearly a week overdue and have suspected since last Sunday.

Just to quickly intro myself and DH. I'm 30, he's 27. We've been married for 3.5 years. This is our first pregnancy and is a 'first month trying' baby. We own our own businesses and I also work for my family's business. Until this point work and travel have been our lives. I suspect that's about to change!

Feel a but nervous posting here and hope I'm not 'jumping the gun'...can't wait to be further along so it's all a bit more real...and sticky!

Think that's all for now...just HI really!!

Congrats and welcome Surfergirl!

I know what you mean about feeling nervous posting in here, I am too! Its still doesn't feel real!

I've got these funny little tummy twinges, not exactly cramps but weird. I'm also starting to feel a little bit sick when I get hungry so keeping the gingernut biscuits on hand (ginger is good for nauesa apparently but Im not sure if gingernuts actually have any ginger in them!)

I have extra pressure on me now as DH told his family that im pregnant! Feel really jinxed now but just going to go with it and enjoy it!

Hope all the other May Mummies are feeling well??

i resolved the parents problem. we arent going to tell any of them till 12 weeks. hopefully ill have the balls to do it by then. lol. how is everyone else doing? i went to themost elaborate wedding late night with a MASIVE spread of food and out of al of it all i was allowed to eat was potato, carot, broc and coliflower. i was so gutted. how much caffeine and people drinking? i have no more than 2, 3 at the very most cups of tea a day. is this ok or should i go decaf?

Congratulations to all the May mummies. I'm so glad someone started this thread, as a newbie i was just waiting around lol.

Did a POAS 13 DPO and had a very strong result and got my blood test done the same day which came back at 1761.

As for the sore boobs everyone has got, i'll be joining the club there, mine started out a week before AF was due and were a different kind of sore than usual with AF. Then last Saturday, i woke up at 8.30 felt exhausted and when back to sleep till 3pm!! Oh and the constant peeing and backache kinda gave it away aswell.

To the ladies that are still having cramps, i was/am absolutely paranoid about this aswell, because i too have been having cramps on and off, but they are getting less and less now. I now feel a lot more reassured now knowing i'm not the only one still getting them.

DP was told, but hasn't taken it well even though we both supposedly wanted a child. My story is on the First Baby thread. Looks like i'm going to be a single mum for this bub which is extremely scary, but there's no way i can terminate like my partner wants me too (because apparently it's not the right time).

Lol, the only reason i would be dreading telling my parents now, is the fact that i could possibly be telling them that i'm going this alone.

Wow, May Mummies - this is now OUR time!!!!!! I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming months.

Congrats Cosmo - and sorry to hear about your partner.
In regards to your parents, now could be the perfect time to tell them. I'm sure they would be a tower of strength for you so you wont be going through it on your own :)

So sorry to hear that Cosmo, big hugs!
Monikah, I was a big coffee drinker before my first pregnancy, but managed to cut down to 3 instant coffees a day. From what my mw said, that was ok as long as I didn't have any more than that If I wnated more, I would just drink decaf.
I rung for my blood results on Friday and asked what my HCG was and they told me they didn't do it!!! WTF??? They just did all the other bloods instead, which is a shame cause I wanted to get some idea of how far along I was I'm half tempted to go back and ask for it to be done!
Hope everyone is having a lovely day!

Hey Girls. Well my symptoms all but disappeared over the weekend except for the cramping which was making me very worried. I honestly didn't "feel" pregnant at all. Keep waiting for AF to rear her ugly head. We were camping with some friends and kept going to have a swig of Hubbys beer and then I would remember! It was so strange. Got home just before and was immediately in the loo to POAS and there is definately a very vivid 2nd line now, so that is reassuring. So I'm going to ring a midwife in the morning and hopefully get my HCG levels done .

Does anyone have some good excuses as to why you aren't drinking? I have a skiing trip planned for my b'day next week with my best friends and just know they are going to suspect something if I'm not drinking on my bday!! Problem is they know me so well they are bound to see through any story!

But hubby and I have vowed not to tell anyone, parents included until we get to 12 weeks.

Mrs B, when's your birthday, mines the 4th so i've got a couple of people that want to go out for dinner and drinks, and i too am trying to work out how to get out of the drinks, without being obvious.

Good luck for getting your blood test tomorrow, i'm sure all will be fine, my symptoms come and go but look at my results for Wednesday they were huge.

Actually with results like that at 13dpo, i'm kinda getting worried about two of them cooking in there.

Curly that is so strange they didn't test the HCG levels for you!!!   Silly people. You're so lucky to still get your caffeine fix, unfortunately mine is 'V' and i can't keep having two of those a day, i've gone cold turkey since i found out, but still getting my cravings for it - but not giving in.

Nerfititi, i'm holding off on telling me parents for now, they both have their birthdays within a couple of days of each other in a couple of months, so you can guess what their present will be lol. They're down in Wellington anyway, so not much they can do down there, and i don't want to worry mum, she has just battled breast cancer, so i don't want her stressing about me.

Hope everyone had fantastic weekends, and their symptoms didn't get in the way of enjoying it!!
