In the baby books where you keep all the dates and photos and stuff there is a page for recording when teeth came through....My question is do you note the day/age that you first see them (lumps in gums etc) or do you record when the tooth is actually there and obviously visible?
Mum to:
Joy Emily 1.05am 27/09/07 7lb 3oz
Austin Paul 12.47pm 18/04/10 10lb 8oz
I have recorded them so far as the date and age in which they broke the surface and stayed there, cos a couple of DS's top teeth broke through and then went up and down for a month before staying there, so waited until they stayed to write it.
I wouldn't write it as when you see the lumps cos that would've meant Jack would've had his first tooth going by that at 3 months old, whereas it was 4.5months when it actually broke through.
Don't worry, I didn't know it was there either! We have a Baby Record book and I recorded the day I first saw each tooth cut through. Although I only had room to record about the first 6 or 8. I gave up after that. His 2yo teeth are causing probs at the mo and I think I will record when they finally cut
