Well I might be the first baby announcement! Our baby boy (no name yet) was born last Thursday the 22nd, after induction for pre-eclampsia...I had all the intervention I was hoping to avoid, winding up with an emergency caesarean on Thursday for fetal distress. Hope everyone else has better luck than me with the birth process, but equally good fortune with baby's health!

aww congratulations Anna...not how you wanted it to happen but he's here. My baby is 4kg already so I have to deliver at middlemore...def not what I wanted since my midwife doesn't deliver there....I'm ready for him/her to be born though.
Are there any other babies here already?

Congrats Anna! Glad that he's doing well  I'm still waiting (impatiently) for baby to arrive.. hopefully soon! Tanithe - which hospital does your midwife deliver at? Why can't you give birth there instead?

We had our little girl on Tuesday! 3.6kg and arriving on her due date.
Labour went well (ouch!) and had our waterbirth at birthcare as planned.
No name yet..
So far the most stressful thing has been trying to keep DD (who's nearly 2) at a safe distance as she's very keen to cuddle (plus poke / prod / grab / pull) baby sister at every opportunity.
Hope everyone is well and more babies arrive safely soon =)

Congratulations!!! Slightly envious of the straightforward waterbirth LOL but I'm being hopeful of a more positive experience next time! Glad it went so well for you though

hello everyone just letting you know we had a baby boy 2 weeks early on 07.12.12 at 7.07am, emergancy c section. 8.5lb we doing well

Hi All,
Only just found this thread :-) We had a little girl on the 15th of December, 2 weeks & 1 day overdue. Had everything but a c-section! But she is healthy, weighing in at 9lb 6oz :-)
Hope everyone has a great Christmas with their littles ones & for those of you who are still waiting, good luck.
Also I would like to be part of the private forum if possible :-)

Hi all I haven't been on here for ages. We welcomed Ashling Lilly Turner to the world three weeks ago on 12/12/12 weighing seven pound four after a very quick labour and delivery

I too havent been here for a long time too
My little girl Piper arrived 1 day early (induced due to IUGR) weighing 5lbs2oz and is now 11.5 weeks old and weighs 9lbs 1oz
Very healthy and happy baby girls

Heya! I had my lil surprised baby girl on the 14/12/12 she came out 2days before edd.
50cm and 3.270kg!
I'm also looking for a coffee group out west if anyone's keen :-)

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum's. My little boy Should have been a November baby but was born 2 weeks late and arrived 10/12/13. Weighing a healthy 3740g and 54cm. I can't believe how fast the time has gone and he is now nearly 4 months and is growing so fast.
I am keen to join the private forum as well, Thank you :)

I'm not on facebook so not sure if you are all still keeping in touch on there. It's been a year now since I had my little boy and wanted to see how everyone else has gotten through the year? I had my son via emergency c section on 10 Dec 2012...he was 10lbs 4ozs and 58cm long. Am pregnant again now and due in June...praying for a girl this time :D

I only occasionally check this now, since everyone disappeared to Facebook! I got an email notification on your post though, which is amazing, because while everyone was actually posting here, the notifications kept failing...
Congratulations, that's awesome about your new pregnancy, and wow good growing with number one! Mine was not so well grown (6 lb)! We are probably going to try for #2 soon too :-) Also will be hoping for a girl to balance things out :-) Can't believe we have 13 month olds now! Crazy huh!!

Hi all
Haven't been on here in a long time
Have kept in touch with a few ladies from here through FB though
My little miss was born 7th December 2012 (2.395kg 47cm) a week early. She had IUGR and is still a petite wee thing. Now weighing 7.63kg 68cm
We had her first birthday party on her actual birthday
It was a great day.
Unsure if or when we will try for # 2
