I have to go in to the Women's Assessment Unit later. As my cervix has been quite bad with it's prolapse and the last day and a bit it's felt really low and uncomfy. I'm sure all is fine with baby, but maybe they will have to see if they can do anything to further help the prolapse.

Congrats to all who found out sex :-) We had our 19wk scan today & it's a boy! Very happy, & glad we can start planning for a little man rather than an 'it' :-)
escadachic - how did your assessment of prolapsed cervix go? I don't know what that is but hope like you said it's nothing to worry about.

Congrats on having a boy on the way Alice Appointment went ok. They are very compassionate or informative at Wellington Hospital. So they kept disappearing leaving me sitting around waiting a lot. They put a different ring/pessary in. But it's not any better. Has half fallen out 3 times now. They blame me, saying I must be straining too much, when I'm not. I have an appointment with OB at Kenepuru Hospital on Tuesday, so they should be more helpful. They were last time, when I saw them 2 months ago.

Cervix prolapsing is when your cervix, instead of staying up where it should, it has a tendency to drop down, where it shouldn't be. Which is down the bottom of the vagina.

Sorry to hear of your cervical woes, escadachic! The things we go through to make a human! I'm sure like me you've been told to take it easy but it's not that straightforward sometimes! Good luck at Kenepuru today.

Hmmm yes they sound wonderful... not! How did the tuesday appt go? Gosh pregnancy is difficult enough without adding complications. Hope they did something.

Hello! We are having baby #1 due end of Aug (maybe Sept!). Found out last week that it's a boy! Feeling lots of movement in my belly but I still can't tell which is baby, which is me/gas!
