Well congratulations Greenery!!! Its very nice to have someone get their BFP after a long time. Good luck and hope it goes well :)

Wondering if anyone has advice for me. So as we know this iui was a fail and we're on to the next cycle (if not then we do now lol). I'll start bloods Thurs week away and likely have insem the Sunday or Monday following (so predictable is my body lol). This Saturday coming my netball team are having drinks after the game. I am notorious for being part of these shenanegans...especially pre planned as this is. After ttc for so long I'm not big of denying myself the pleasures of life and have a drink here and there if I feel like it apart from when I'm in the tww after treatment, however I think that since this is my last iui before review I should try to throw everything at it including being drink free beforehand iykwim.
It will be noticed if I don't drink and questions will be asked. And part of me thinks a blow out with my netball girls might be quite good for me.
What's everyone's thoughts?

All opinions welcome lol. I think I asked this elsewhere back when I had treatment right on my 30th bday party! I can never make a decision lol.

Hello :)

New here,

I'm 23 and have been trying with my husband since our wedding 18months ago (he's 29)
I have pretty regular 29day cycles and month after month nothing has happened.

I have been diagnosed with sever ME (Known as chronic fatigue) but it's not proven to have any effects on pregnancy etc. And had a load of health problems when I was younger.
But now, I'm okay apart from ME which can get really bad (swollen joints/muscles/fatigue etc)

I eat super healthy, exercise regularly as I can and am totally stress free in our lifestyle.

My doc say's I'm totally able to conceive... so not sure why it's so hard for us!
Hubby is going to get tested too one day soon but he's not too happy about it.
Keeps saying it'll happen when the time is right and all that.

But the waiting, and getting my hopes up and the crazy disappointment is really hard.

But the amazing thing is reading so many success stories, it's really heart warming!

Much love x

Isn't it crazy how many people actually have it, on so many different levels, its amazing that it's becoming more known about with more understanding!
Thanks babycrazy and Rach for your support! x

And Greenery, a faint line sounds exciting!! Good luck :)

My body likes to trick me into thinking I'm pregnant every now and then, like now, my AF is 6 days late, HPT yesterday - BFN but I have pretty in-your-face symptoms.

Love the waiting game... haha!

Hi guys,
congrats Greenery, all the best for an easy nine months ahead. Maybe the secret is to join this forum and we'll all be following you soon!
Rach and Katz your ME sounds tough, good to learn about this as I don't know much about it
Katzbabz fx you do get you bfp! Such a hard time the am I aren't I time of the month. This month I convinced myself I might be which I haven't done for a while, but I had cramping off and on since 9dpo and other symptoms, but now pretty sure not as am grumpy as and have the AF will be here in the morning like clock work feeling, ahhhh! Anyways I am looking fwd to my accumpunturist getting back from hols so I can get back on that again
Babycrazy if it was me I think I would have a couple with non alcoholic in between, but you know a blow out might be good too- I really feel like that sometimes! Either way have fun- you deserve it!!
Hope you guys have a good weekend xx

Pp - hope the witch stays away! Have decided I will drink. Another friend told me I should just go ahead and have a drink might do me the world of good and that I should get on with living (she meant that in a good way). So I decided I will. Will be nice to just feel normal for a change!

Hope everyone else has a good weekend xxxx with maybe some bfps!

Fingers crossed for u pp!!

Did have a good time. Was home by 8pm though. We had an early game 12pm, then started on it after that. I was fine (tipsy but fine) however my darling friend who hasn't drunk for 5 wks and decided to mix her own vodka and sodas ended up in a messy way so I got her hubby to come get her and cos we both live in the country near each other I just hitched a lift to my place lol. Was stoked as didn't want a late one and feel a million bucks today.
No more beersies for me now for a long time hopefully!

Hi ladies

I think this thread sounds like a bit of me :) I have been enjoying the support in other threads but am starting to feel a lil discouraged with all the BFP's happening everywhere (much as I am happy for everyone else!). You know how it is...

My DH and I have been TTC for over 3 years, with one early miscarriage and an unsuccessful iui. IVF lined up for the end of year (after a 2 year wait in the Public Health system).

I am a Chronic Fatigue/ Fibromyalgia 'survivor' also, so I pretty much spend my whole life attempting to find balance with energy input and output ie getting a million hours sleep a night and eating really healthy etc (most of the time...). Was diagnosed with severe endo last year after an extensive laproscopy, and the Dr said that this could finally explain a lot of my fatigue and pain symptoms. I manage a busy life with full-time job, gym and social life, so am doing pretty well most of the time.

Sometimes I feel like the only one on the planet who is struggling to conceive, so forums like this are really helpful as I can see there are many other women going through the same thing...

I also take each event at a time as to whether I have a glass of wine or not - after such a long time TTC it is tempting sometimes to just throw caution to the wind and enjoy myself (unless I am undergoing a proceedure).

With ivf coming up in about four months I will prob step up my healthy living shortly I imagine. At least it will give me a feeling like I have some control over some part of the process

Red dahlia totally get how you're feeling as I'm a bit the same at the moment. My mum is a ME / chronic fatigue survivor so I think you're amazing to live such a full life.
Hope with this ivf you're nearing the end of the quest.

Hi guys,
Welcome Reddahlia. It is so good you have your IVF scheduled, it will be great to be working toward that. I am so interested in your story, I am on the waiting list for a lap surgery so would be interested in anything you can tell me about that experience. Also wondering if you had any signs of endo before the lap-did you have intense AF pain etc? The FA specialist wants to check to see if endo is a problem for me, I have period pain but it is not extreme. Also did they clear the endo out at the time of your LAP.
That is so great if you might finally have a cause for your symptoms!
Babycrazy how are you? Are you doing another iui round this month? Fx for your bloods
AFM ticking along on CD3, telling myself chin up but admit to having a few doubts the last few days, but sure i'll get over that once it gets closer to ov. My DD is 4 this month, so looking at at least a five year age gap now, I now have a time frame in mind of when she hits school to call it quits, not telling DP though as he'd hold me to it.
How is everyone else?

BC Good luck for your IUI this weekend I really hope it is 4th time lucky for you!

Pitter Patter hope you are doing ok,

I had a scan at FA yesterday and there was one good size follie at 17mm but.....not good enough to trigger. So have had more bloods today then go in tomorrow at 10am to have another scan done and then hopefully trigger!

I know what you mean about the having a wine thing! I am exactly the same!

How is everyone else getting on? Positive thoughts to everyone even though we all feel blaaaa sometimes! SO nice to have you girls as we are all in the same "boat" xx
