Hi All, It's been so helpful reading all your posts, I'm so sorry for those who have lost little ones, but reassured by those who have gone on to have beautiful babies! I'm 5 weeks 4 days and have been on a roller coaster ride of emotions as my hcg levels haven't been doing what they ought to. I have all the symptoms, morning sickness, rapidly growing and tender breasts - when they tell me it doesn't look good it seems like a cruel joke. If this one doesn't go ahead it will be my 3rd MC in 13 months, but I am not giving up just yet! I have let both come out naturally and had no problems. I gave myself 6 months after the first one but only because I needed to get my head space together before trying again. I don't mean to put anyone off by sharing my story, I have PCOS and I'm sure that's something to do with my inability to carry... so far. Hopefully it's something that can be leveled out with hormones or something?? I'm with a specialist this time around so if this one doesn't work out the next one is bound to. Look after yourselves and stay positive.

Awww MrsK2 Im so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. But congratulations on your new pregnancy and I hope that this is a sticky one.

Oh and welcome to Ohbaby!, it is a wonderful supportive community

I am in a similar situation to you I have had three m/c's in the last year and are also under a specialist at FA in Hamilton. I also have pcos in one ovary too. We have an appt with our specialist on Tuesday so I am praying that he will have some solutions for us to help us have a sticky bubba.

If you haven't already done so get your specialist to do all the recurrent miscarriage bloods to look for blood clotting factors and immune disorders etc. as I think they can put you on suitable medication during your pregnancy to help prevent m/c.

Goodluck though and I really hope you don't need that specialist

Hi Appy2,
Thank you... yes I did get those things ruled out, while waiting for those results I was wishing they would come back positive, crazy huh, but it would have been nice to have an easy solution. My specialist recommended Clomid to give me the extra boost needed to ov, worked a treat for me but took a few goes to get the dose right. That's what got me up the duff this time. Two friends of mine have pcos and both have beautiful healthy babies, we can do it!! Good luck on Tuesday, I'm sure they'll have positive sticky bubba solutions for you guys... keep us posted

I am so sorry to hear that Emmi_,
It is hard when you think of where you would be now if bubba had stuck. How are you coping? and your family?
It has been hard, you feel like you can't get passed it until its over & for so long it wasn't. I think ive found it really hard as my sister is also pregnant with a healthy bubba.
My DF is doing well, alot better than a month ago, I guess I was lucky as he got out of hospital the day before they confirmed the mc so was able to be there for everything. The surgeons think he should be able to walk on his own again in 5 weeks & we no longer need the wheelchair. Hes been coping well, been really there for me & ive felt bad that its taking me so long to get over the fact that all this has happened and hes so ready & so am I to start trying again its so hard to stick to our plan!

I can't begin to imagine what it has been like for you appy2 & MrsK2! Hope yours sticks MrsK2 and all the best for tuesday appy2!

I'm feeling alot better being able to talk about everything in hear

Thanks Emmi_. Did you get pregnant again soon after your mc? Waiting to TTC is soooo hard but don't want to try again too soon and end up having another mc and having the doctor say i told you so....

Biddy, I have good days and bad ones, sometimes I feel like I am actually getting there then I will cry at the littlist thing. It must be so hard watching your sister go through what you should be too. That is good news about the wheelchair! Really do try to not feel bad, you need to do and feel what you need to heal yourself.
Birdie, nope I didnt get PG again, just finished my first AF after MC 3 weeks ago, and I have to wait till next cycle to start TTC again due to having surgery (knee!). I wish I had though...

Hi,
I'm new to all this kind of thing. I had my first mc on Sunday and was lost. I have irregular periods, endo and PCOS and have been on clomid. One round of clomid and I conceived, but had a mc at 6 weeks. It all started on the last Wednesday and I had a scan and there was a heartbeat. Bleeding had started on Friday and I had another scan and there was a heartbeat.   It has been so hard but I'm getting there slowly.
I am trying to be positive and look forward to the day I get a BFP.
This support network is great because when it happens you can feel a little bit lost. It's nice to have the positive forum to go to in times of need.

HUGS Southerngirl.
I'm so sorry this has happened to you. This is definetely the place to come to during this time - loads of ladies who totally get what you're going through (and don't make those dumb comments people make when they are trying to help but really don't)
Are they keeping an eye on your HCGs?? Also if you go for another scan try to make it within 2 weeks of the MC as the buggers charge you otherwise (like its not hard enough!!)
You will get your BFP - fingers and toes crossed for you. Take as much time as you need before TTC again - it really does your head in!
Come online any time you need to vent about anything!

Thanks so much for the kind words littlestar! I'm feeling good today. I know I'll get there one day soon. It was our first shot on Clomid and we concieved, so thats something positive. Taking time out after it happens is really important and talking about it! I am under a really good specialist, and I have had a complete m/c. There was no lingering and everything seems to be back to normal. I know that it will prob take 6 weeks or so for my HCG to come down, but we haven't had any more bloods done for that either. Not really too worried about that though because if I feel I need another blood test in 6 weeks I can just ring the doctor. It sure is a rollercoaster, but the the ultimate prize is that lovely bundle at the end! Positive thoughts to all of you and hope you all have a lovely day!

I'm glad you're feeling better today - hugs!

I found this website when I MCd (as a lurker) and it was such a help - esp when I got another BFP.

EARLY MISCARRIAGES:

Hi - reading these just makes me want to cry - but also to encourage you all not to give up! I have two children from a previous marriage - and my new hubby desperately wants to be a dad - but I am 40 - and just didn't know how things would go. We have 3 angel-babies (lost 3 in a row) - lost the biggest at 9 weeks on Christmas Day which was just devastating.

I am now just over 15 weeks along - so keep perservering - keep positive - feep focusing on your goal and RELAX! Be kind to yourself - the worst thing I did was to beat myself up because I couldn't seem to keep a baby! (It felt that way at the time).

Big hugs to ALL of you who have gone through or are going through this......there are many of us here who understand and want to be there for you!
