I have bought one of those Tupperware silicone cake thingies that can go in the oven or microwave and I'd love to have a go at a microwave cake or two, but I don't have any recipes.

Anyone have any to share? Or have any idea how to convert cooking times from oven to microwave?

Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl, beat together for 3 minutes on HIGH, pour into a greased microwave safe container, cook for 20-23 minutues on Medium.  Allow to stand for 5 - 10 minutes before turning out.  Allow to cool before icing.

This is based on a 1000W microwave.

Here you go, wonderful recipe that i love, really quick to make. and.. in my opinion... the orange is much better than the chocolate. (oh, and mike always reckons that the chocolate cake smells icky when it's cooking.. just to warn you.. it still tastes yummy.. dunno what the heck he's talkinga bout).. ok have i scared you yet.

125gm butter, melted in microwave for 30 - 40seconds (put paper towle over bowl to stop mess)
add three quarters of a cup of sugar, stir a little
then add one third of a cup of cocoa, OR the grated rind of one large orange.
Break into mixture 2 eggs,
add half a cup of milk, stir until combined
then add 1 cup of self raising flour.. slightly more might be needed for orange cake (i usually just chuck a couple of table spoons more if needed) and stir again until combined

Pour into ring shaped microwaveable cake tin lined with paper towel
place a saucer/bread and butter plate, upside down in the middle of the microwave plate, place the cake tin on this

microwave 5 mins on high.. 6 mins for orange cake

take out and stand on bench covered with paper towel to remove extra moisture, for 5 mins before removing from ring tin

I looove the chocolate one heated up with cream for pudding. and the orange one is yum with butter icing made with the orange's juice squeezed into it.

really quick to make when people are coming over.
