Are you still friends with people you went to primary school?? I am with one, we still catch up with each other (be it on FB now) at least once a month to see how each is getting on. Another one is in the news all the time with his triathlon's, when he would come down to home (Feilding) we would catch up. How about you?? |

I am with one but only because as a big coincidence, DH knew her in Chch before he moved up here to Nelson and met me. So we met again. Not really the same as keeping in touch for many years though!

Yep, 4 that I can think of. 1 is my closest friend, even though she is on the opposite side of the planet.

   What does BFF mean?
I have one friend that I've kept in touch with since primary school (standard 4). She was one of my bridesmaids and we have children of similar ages.

In saying that though my closest friends now are those I've met when my boys were little. We've gone through so much more together. There's a group of five of us who go away every Queen's Birthday weekend for a girly weekend. We've been doing that for about 15 years. Boy did I look forward to that once a year "me" time when I had littlies.

No, I was in a composite class at primary school, so when I went to high school I was in a deferent class to my bestie.
Most of my best friends I've met since leaving school thru work and sport.

I'm still friends with my girlfriend Tammy. we thought that we met each other as neighbours and started our parents being friends. When we were 16 my parents split up and we took my dad's 21st key off the wall and found her parents names, and her sister. turns out that our parents were high school friends and us being best friends was completely conincidental - and handy I bet.
Other friends, still close with a few from high school, and on facebook with a few from primary (bear in mind taumarunui had one high school, so 9 times out of ten, everyone I went to kindy with, I also went to high school with. made things weird when I dated as would bring a guy home, only for mum to know his parents and "remember you used to play together when you were 4, and he wet his patns in the sandpit"

I still keep in touch with people from primary school. In fact, I had dinner with a few of them last night! I also have 4 best friends from form 1 which im still very close to. We are spread out around the world now but always keep in touch and always will. We have a 'sex and the city' kind of relaitonship in that we went through our 'first' everythings together and know about everything else which came after so we have to stay friends cause we all know too much, haha!!!

My bestie and I went to preschool, kindy, primary and college together. Our kids have grown up together and call her aunty as she is very much parrt of the family. I am gutted that she is now living in OZ but whenever we get together or on the phone for chats its like we are/have never been apart. |

I do have a couple I have known since we moved over here and still very good friends - it helped our parents are good friends too.
