Okay totally new to this. But starting to think of getting the cloth training pants rather as I feel it will feel more like a real pantie to her than the Huggies will.

So which ones are out there? What did you use? What is a decent price? How many should I get?

And what else do you think I should know? Also do I just wash it normally like anything else I would or is there like something special I need to do?

For washing you would need to use either 1/2 the amount of the stuff you usually use, or get eco store stuff. But it would be fine to go into the wash (I put Josh's nappies in the wash with the rest of the clothes).

I think Baby Harmony do them, have a look there to start with. I would say get 2 (I haven't used them so i'm just guessing here) therefore if you don't get it dried during the day you have your spare one to use.

As for price anything from $30-40 would be alright (then again I haven't actually looked for them yet so i'm just guessing there).

When we started out with TT Ella was going through between 3-5 pairs of panties a day.
I didn't bother with training pants as she was a little older than your girl when she started, and just bought a whole heap of cheap panties instead.
Have a look on Trademe, often secondhand pairs sell on there in the cloth nappy section for quite reasonable prices.

All the best for TT!
