Flying is fine, especially short flights. Dehydration is the main thing you have to watch, and also you can't in planes that don't have pressurised cabbins. I flew alround the world (kinda) in my first trimester, and also flew between auckland and chch at 34/36 weeks

I flew to Syndey at about 5 mths (had to tell my Dad sometime!) and it was all good.
Doctors generally don't recommend long haul flights in the last trimester as there is a small chance of premature labour and birth.

yeah, i had to get a note from the doctor to say i could fly. To tell the truth, the flight itself was fine. Apart from freedom air who let a 8 month pregnant woman haul up her handluggage all alone, while the flight attendants watched from above. wasn't impressed with that! then again, on the way back travelling with Jake at 6 weeks, they were fantastic!
