About 2 weeks ago Josh was put on Amoxil for an ear infection, the next day he threw everything up I gave hima nd we ended up in hospital and the dr there said he either is allergic to it or has a gastro bug (we waited and the other end never started) so we ruled out a gastro bug. And after everytime I gave him the drugs he would throw up. Since then he hasn't wanted to eat solids. I never pushed it, but offered him some every night but he never took anymore than a teaspoon. Last night he took the whole lot I gave him (about 1/4 cup of farax) and he was a happy baby. He went to bed like normal and didn't wake until 6 this morning.

I went in to get him and as I picked his sleeping bag up I noticed it was wet. So I turned the light on and he had thown up (it seemed like he had sone it a few times as there were some wet and some dry spots).

So is it possible is has an allergy or intolarance to something I am giving him??

Nope kept the same - the dr at the hospital said to keep giving it to him so I did for a few more days and then stopped it.

if it was an allergic reaction to the medication then i would have thought the dr would have stopped it...strange. he may have just thrown up cause he wasnt used to having so much last night..if he seems fine today i would just keep an eye on him and go easy on the farex tonight.

I'm allergic to Amoxil and it makes me throw up, but it didn't make me throw up everytime I had it. It depended on what I was taking it for and the dosage.

Hope wee Joshua feels better soon.
