I have had the worse day from hell!!!!!!! A lady crashed into me and the kids while we were on our way to Mercedes marching We were sitting indicating to do a right turn into the driveway of the hall when this lady came flying around the corner and up the street straight into the back of us. She said by the time she saw us she didnt have enough time to hit the breaks so at 50k plus she slammed into us. My poor Mercedes and Alize were in the back  and closer to the smash. WE are all ok tho thankgoodness. Me and the girls are still pretty shaken up but Alize is fine!.

At first when it hit everything was deadly silent, I freaked out and screamed and all at the same time Lesieli and Alize did. Mercedes was in a daze and shocked and didnt say a word. There was a house where people were leaving a birthday party where it happened and saw the whole thing and no one came to help me. I had 3 screaming kids by this stage and was shaking from head to foot. I swear I cant believe no one helped me. The lady who hit me came over but her daughter was crying too and she keep going on about a crash she has 2yrs ago. I didnt really care I just wanted my kids to be ok. The force of the crash was so hard the ashtray and the back seat at the back side of the handbrake flew out and hit Mercedes in the face, and the ashtray has never been used since Ive had the car so has been shut for 2yrs +

So now 3rd week into my job I have no vehicle but that is nothing compare to the over whelming relief I feel of all my babies being ok. Lesieli has become very clingly and wont let me out of her sight and Mercedes keeps crying. We are all going to snuggly up in bed for the night together. Poor Lesieli said she will never forget the look of fear in my face when the car hit. It wasnt fear of the actual crash  but the fear that one of my babies might have been hurt. Thankyou God for keeping my children safe!!

Oh no Kels, that's awful! I'm so glad to hear you and the kids are ok! What a silly tart coming round the corner so fast!
Is your car fixable? Is there anything we can do?

Thanks guys!! I appreciate the support. As for the stuck up people at the birthday party they can all go and K*#s my behind and I feel really sorry for anyone of them that lives in Naenae and turn up to my plunket clinic Nah I dont even remember any faces but still how sad is that a simple "are you ok, or can I call someone for you?" would have been nice!!!! I was shaking so much I couldnt txt my mum for help for over 30mins. Me and the kids were just sat in the car crying and just trying to comfort each other. You could just picture the 4 of us squashed in the frot 2 seats as Mercedes was too scared to get in the back seat and I wouldnt let go of Alize.

Emma, yep the car should be fixable I think?? The back is broken off and a tow truck is coming to get it on Monday. Thankyou for your offer of help, me and the kids will muddle thru like we always do

Kels, you poor, poor family! That must have been so scary. I also can't believe that the bystanders didn't bother to come see if you were all right -- I mean, come on, a lady with three kids in tow? Obviously you needed some comfort! Big, giant hugs for you all!!!

I just had a thought -- the girls' carseats will need to be replaced too, so make sure that the other lady's insurance knows about that so she has to pay for them!!!!!

OMG You poor things! That is so scary! And I cannot believe those people didn't take 30 seconds out of their time just to ask if at least you were ok!

That sounds awful but praise God you guys are all ok.

It's always so disappointing when people won't step in and help...gaah, I would have jumped in without thinking...why can't more people do it?

Jess I havent been told yet if its a write off, the guy who towed the car seem to think so but I guess you never know what an insurance company is going to approve

Teresa  Im not too sure about what happens with inurance etc but the lady who hit me has rung to say she has told her insurance company that it was her fault etc so now I'l just wait to see what happens next. I hate not having a car

Michelle The girls are fine now. Mercedes has stopped talking about it and I think that was just her way of dealing with it.

My mum is so angry that no one helped us she's thinking of writing to the local paper about it. I still cant believed no one helped me either. I guess a distraught mother with 2 crying children and a screaming baby didnt look in need of some help Oh not forgetting her smashed up car on the side of the road

I'm blown away that no-one helped!  That's so selfish.  And I'm sooooooo relieved you and the kids are OK - far out that must've been the scariest moment ever.  Are they all sleeping OK?
