Hi there, does anyone know where to buy extra wide bassinet sheets from? I have looked everywhere and cant find any. Im after the type that you get when you are in the hospital so you can put the middle of the sheet under the matress and then fold one side of the sheet over the top, and then the other side on top of that (sorry hope thats not too confusing!!)

No i tried using cot sheets with my first baby, but they were too long and really bulky at the end of the bassinet...

My Mum made some for me just using flanelette from Spotlight. Its real cheap, and did a great job. I croassed the sheets like that for Isla too, now I use those sheet as wraps for her ( well I just stopped wrapping her last week!).

I made my own bassinett and cot sheets by using a Queen size sheet and cutting it to the size I wanted and then just sewing round the edges, very easy and worked out cheeper.

Why not fold the cot sheet in half first? Then it would be long enough to go under matress and double across but still short enough to not be too bulky?
Or you could use 2 bassinet sheets if you already have them and tuck one on each side. This is what we did and it worked fine.
