We treid Tom on cloth nappies last night and now they are all stained bright yellow. I dry pailed them and then stuck them in the wash with ecostore. We then tried to rewash them with some Friend Oxyaction stuff but still stained.
What can we do???? I know they are clean but they dont look as nice any more??

Hang them out in the sunshine. It's amazing how much it will get rid of the stains!

Seriously - try it! I had some nappies which were stained & looked awful but after a day of hanging in the clothesline they looked as good as new.

Ok, so there is no sun today so I have had to put them in the dryer. Please tell me that the stains can still come out another day in the sun?

possibley, but even if the sun isnt actually shining it is the UV that does the whitening...so it might have helped them anyway.
You might want to consider giving them a quick rinse before chucking them in the pail too.

They will come out. We put everything through the dryer when Caleb first went into them as the weather was really bad. I thought I'd have to give them a long soak with nappy san but the first time I put them out on the line they all came up white again.

I was told by a friend that in Roman times they used to pee on their togas and hang them out in the sun to whiten them...so maybe its not just the sun that does it

Makes sense - Urine (if it's stale anyway) has amonia in it which is bleach.
Hmm now why can't I remember important stuff??
