For the past few days I have had semi-blurred vision in one eye, usually when I'm tired.. I just put it down to tiredness and didn't think much of it.

Then today when I was standing up brushing my hair in the mirror, all of a sudden my vision got much worse in that eye and then I felt dizzy, the best way to describe it is that it felt like I was looking through a kalidescope and turning the end.. I've had a similar thing happen once before and it was low blood sugar, as I hadn't eaten for a while.. so I ate something and sat down for a while.. eventually after 40 mins my sight started to get better.

Has anyone else had anything like this??! Vision problems freak me out.. I'm off to the doctors this afternoon.

Best to get it checked out as it is a new symptom for you but the one thing that springs to my mind is a migraine. That would account for the kaleidescope thing. Some people dont get the headache and usually the visual symptoms last 10-30 min. some people get nausea, dizzienss, tingling in extremeties or just feel "off".

The vision could also be blurred in that eye simply because that eye isnt perfectly focused anymore and you could have 2 things going on...just to confuse you.

My advice (I am an optometrist) would be to see your GP and describe it as well as you can. Ask him/her whether they think it is worth having an eye exam just to make sure everything is "tickyboo".

Dont worry...scary symptoms....very common though.

Are your ears still blocked Kat? It could be something to do with all that too I guess

It's a miagrane. Would make sense as my dad and sister get them too. Not very nice though, I am going to try and make sure I get as much sleep as possible now so it doesn't happen again, I'm really tired. Apparently chocolate can set them off too, so I'm off to find a new addiction mmm icecream!

Blurred vision happens for me when im tired too. And it comes with a sharp stabbing pain for me. Then my eyes go blurry. I have to get a towel and dab it on my eyes. My doc says I should take the teaspoon out of my coffees, but i dont reckon it's that.

hehe I love icecream too... mmm creamy and fatty Hey and tonight is the last night of winter so you can have LOTS of it! hehe

I was wondering if the migraine might have had something to do with not being well, but it seems you have the answer now.
