I've been trying and trying and trying to get an acceptable passport photo of Alex. We've gone into photo shops and pharmacies three times now, without success, and I've been snapping away madly at home. DH and I managed to get what I thought was an acceptable photo this morning (see below) but I rang the passport office and she said it wasn't as the sheet in the background is crumpled and you can't see one ear very clearly. And the little monster kept going cross-eyed just to spite me

I'm going a bit spare here! I need to travel with this baby in five weeks' time and I won't be able to if I can't get a photo in the next week.

Any tips on how to make it work? I really need help! I've tried lying him down on a sheet with DH waving a toy around above the camera, I've tried holding him upright and it's just not working for us.

The most successful (but not successful enough) photo to date:

This might be cheating, but any chance you can photoshop the creases out, and add an ear. People in the passport office have obviously never taken photos of a baby.

You can't see the gremlins ears in their passport photos. It would be physically impossible, their cheeks are too puffy lol.
Good luck, it took us over an hour to get the gremlins ones right.

We've just had our photo's accepted after 3 tries for Benjy's passport. It isn't impossible after all, just stupidly hard!
R.E. The ears, I think it doesn't matter if you can't see them at all, just if you can see one and not the other. It means their face isn't looking straight forward.

Good luck!

We are having the exact same problem with Samara. We are flying home for good in four weeks and just can't get a photo of her.

Mikaela, how did you get the photo to the lady in the passport office to check as we have a photo but want it to be checked before we send the application form to London for the passport.
