the night before it was 2.30-3.30 trying to get the screaming 2 yr old to sleep...

last night it was from 1.30-3.30. the 2 yr old woke up screaming and went into the lounge to get a balloon, then wouldnt go to bed without screaming, finally he stopped that and would lie down but i had to stay in the room with him till he was comfortable with me leaving. get back to bed and my stomach is doing weird things, felt like an iron band around my spare tyre, annoying and disturbing. then just about to nod off when the other one comes in wanting a bum change...grrr.

this morning the 2 yr old is so grizzly. i made us some toast and carried it to the lounge to watch stupid kids tv...(my toast was cafe bread with peanut butter - his plain fruit toast with jam) but as soon as i took my toast off the plate he had a tanty cause he wanted that one not the other three on the plate. He made me sooo angry cause he just wont give in...so i yelled at him and that makes me angry again...i hate the type of parent i turn into when toby is screaming hysterically for nothing...the other night it was cause he wanted to put his wet pants back on...!!!

anyway thats the rant over...

Oh Deb, I'm sorry things are rough at the moment. I have a very short fuse at the moment and feel awful when I growl at Hannah. If he is screaming in the night for 1-2 hours, you may as well be in bed while he goes for it! I'm a mean mummy like that tho When Han used to scream at bedtime, I found she cried longer if I was in there, but I guess its harder when they are older and can get up creating havoc. Anyway, hope it settles down soon.

I lost it the other day too, and that wasn't even with a broken night of sleep (I don't think). Last night Hannah came in our room so many times I lost count. I hear ya!

aimee if that was the case i would leave him, but hes worse if i walk away. and i dont want teh other one to wake up too cause then theres two to deal with.

and no cuppatea i didnt let him put the wet pants back on, if got a chill from wearing them all night in bed and got a cold then i would have to pay the consequences.

busymum i sometimes wonder if its worse while they are breaking your sleep...as opposed to the day after its been ruined lol!

i thought tho that my days of standing in his room rubbing his back going shhhh at 2/3am were over.

I feel so much more anxious about Kryssi or Hannah waking in the night, than Briona - simply cause they room-share. It's a pain sometimes. Can you put down one of the boys in your room? Depends what their little fingers like to get into and if you also need the sleep - which you probably do

Man I feel for ya deb there is nothing fun about getting no sleep when your pregnant.

If it helps I'm in the same boat with Jack he woke at 12 30, 4 and then up for the day at 6 20. Caprece didn't go to sleep until 11pm and woke for feeds at 2 and 5 so i'm running on little sleep. I yelled at Jack today as well
