I'm taking some photos of my friend who's 36 wks preggy this wknd. It's just for fun, but I'd like some pointers as to how to take a 'good' photo and some ideas for some cool ways to takes photos of a preggy lady

there is an article in the latest little treasures mag, see if you can get a copy of that. good belly shots are really hard to do.

Take heaps and heaps of shots and use a digital photography editing program afterwards (crop is your best friend ). Don't have a busy background and try to fill your viewfinder/screen with mostly the subject you're taking the picture of (failing that, use the crop tool afterwards! ). Use sunbeams and shades to create neat effects.

I think the ones that are taken at sunset (?? or at least in low light) look really neat. You can only see a silhouette of the mother and her bump.

its the one with the dad and baby on the front. There is the nicest photo in there of a lady on the beach with a white blanket around her, its the coolest bump pic I have ever seen.
