I'm just a bit confused and was hoping someone could shed some light on this.
I Ovulated on late Sunday night/monday morning I had positive OPKs and Ov pain and today(3DPO) I've had really bad cramps they were so painful I had to lie down. AF is very regular so isn't due for at least 11days.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

Pains around OV are quite normal from what I understand - not necessarily as strong as what you seem to have experienced but I have read that pains associated with OV don't necessarily appear before or during to indicate it's nearing, they can happen afterwards too so are not entirely an indicator of precise OV time. As for the +OPK, they can show positive up to two days before actual OV too, so maybe you're actually only OVing now - unless of course you temp and have had the sustained rise to tell you for sure it was 3 days ago.

Sorry, other than this (which I fear is all rather jumbled!) I have no idea what the pain could be.

i have heard that cramping after OV is common, but mine doesnt normally start to about 5 days before af due- this last cycle i had cramping from about 3 or 4 dpo which was unusual for me... and without trying to get your hopes up becuase everyone is different it turned out i was preggers (as you know) and the last time i was pregnant i noted down cramping from exactly the same stage in m e cycle.
goodluck

Thank you all for the advice. I was wondering if maybe my OV day was wrong, maybe I should try temping as well as OPK's. I think I'll will keep my fingers crossed that I'm like you Rach!
DH is very determined for me to be pg this cycle so he has been insisting on BDing at the very least every second day(I know TMI ) so hopefully we have our bases covered!
Is temping too difficult? what do I need to get started?

Nah, I don't find temping all that difficult - it's often interpreting the results that can be a bit frustrating but definitely worth it to get a better picture of your cycles.

Theres a thread that's been set up by Bellababysmum on 'charting basics' - might pay for you to give that a bit of a look if your interested in temping. There's also the thread where a few of us charters hang out and offer advice and support on the peculiarities of it all

Cool thanks, I'll have a look, I had a bit of a read up on FF and that is a bit helpful but interpreting the results does sound a bit confusing. I'm going to cross my finger for this 2WW then if(or when) AF arrives I'll give temping a go.

My body really seems to be confusing me. I haven't had anymore cramps since 3DPO but tonight I have had some heavy spotting but AF is usually really regular and not due for another 9 or 10 days.
I have no idea what my body is doing??

This might be too much information but.... I only need a light panty liner but now but it came on pretty heavy when I went for a run but that was about 6pm and now it is next to nothing, light brownish in colour.... sorry if this is a bit too yuck to read

Light brown is 'good' - or at least, not bad. You'll have to see what happens tomorrow but it is possible to get implantation spotting.

Things are looking pretty promising for you, possibly too early to pick up on a test yet. I wouldn't test yet if I were you cause you have high chances of getting a false negative. Hang in there and let us how you get on in another week!

btw... Sounds like you'd be a good advocate of what I've been thinking lately: wouldn't it be great if your urine could change colour - like to pale blue or something - if you were pg, and not if you weren't pg. Then there wouldn't be all the wondering and testing

Thanks for the advice, DH isn't too good with the advice in these areas! I was tempted to buy a discovery test today but made myself hold off until at least the day AF is due spent the money on the kids at the blossom festival today instead.

Coloured urine is a great idea! Maybe it should also go purple when your ovulating as well!
....if only it could be so simple!
