for the past month jake has been stripping in bed. NMot every night although now it is getting more and more common. I put him in bed with jammies and a night nappy. sometimes when I go to bed he is still fully clothed, actually most of the time. But around maybe 3ish, he strips - and takes off everything, including his nappy,. he then pees and wakes himself up and crawls into bed with me. This is getting really annoying. I don't mind taking off his pjs (actually didn't put any on him last night as a failed experiement), but the nappy! My instinct is that he is nowhere near night training as he wets EVERY night, but besides putting a mattress protector on the bed, what else can i do to stop having to wash all the bedding every night? any ideas?>???

What kind of nappy do you use? Have you thought of a pull up or putting the nappy on backwards?
My middle boy did that alot last summer and I had to put his nappy on backwards so he couldnt get to it... also put on some tightish shorts and tucked the waistband into the nappy kinda so it was hard for him to fish it out... (that was hard to describe!) He had a cloth nappy with snaps on it.

All in one suit? Perhaps one without feet, on backwards

Take him to the toilet before you go to bed???
I do this with Hannah and she lasts the night without wetting... the last two nights I have been home really late from school (just before 2am) and seems to wet just before I get home! ARGH!
Anyway, try that...? Han's really good about it... generally stays asleep through the toilet trip haha. Hope Jake is similar.

You sound just like my husband. His answer to everything is duct tape. He told McKayla one day while she was throwing a tantrum to be careful as he will use duct tape on her.
Is he perhaps getting a bit hot? McKayla also climbs out of the bed and takes clothes off. Even if it feels like it is cold for me.
Other thing is how about putting a wetproof mattrass protector one. Then a sheet. Then another mattrass protector and another sheet. Then when he wets the bed you just whip she sheet and protector off and he is all set for the rest of the night. Then just do a load of washing when you wake up?

sounds like they are too loose if he can slip them off.
