Our pool has gone green and we have no idea what to do with it. We only bought the house in July and it had been winterised so we didn't need to do anything. Does anyone know a pool man I can call? It looks sad.

Can't you just empty it scrub it then fill it again??(I cleary don't have a pool) I'm just going to go to the warehouse and buy a paddling pool like we do every year!

where are you - if in auckland i can suggest a few places. we used to have a huge 60,000 litre salt pool we had converted from chlorine
If it has a computer running the pump for the levels of cholrine or salt then you need to have that checked...or we used to add salt at beginning of summer, turn up the puter and it went gorgeous and clear...
def get pool people in....

You can dose it with a powerful dose of chemicals (shock treatment I think its called) that will clear up the water... we got people in to test the water etc and tell us which chemicals to add and when etc... so we didnt have to pay them to come all the time they showed us what to do...
4 seasons was who we used but not sure if they still do it... otherwise maybe look through the yellow pages.

We used to get a company called The Pool Man in Orakei to do ours at the start of every summer, he would come round and test the levels then do a shock treatment to clear it up then Mum would check the levels every 1-2 days and add chlorine and other treatment stuff as neccessary to maintain the clear water.

Well, we found some shock treatment that was left here by the old owner and got her to come round and show us what to do with it. She's absolutely mad and stood there in the rain scrubbing it to loosen everything up. It turned out quite fun in the end but we still need someone to come round and keep us going. We're in west auckland.

A good friend of mine owns a business called Taylormade pool services. They are fantastic. Give me a PM if you want their details. I'm sure they will happily either give you advise or come fix the problem for you. They are based in West Harbour, so pretty local to you
