My fur-baby Bella died today!
We were just about to go for a walk this morning and we opened the front door to find Bella lying on the footpath!
We rushed to the after hour vet but way too late - she would have died some time in the early hours of the morning. Now I'm kicking myself for not keeping her home at night! My poor poor baby! The vet thinks she would have died from a car hit - no external damage but must have been a bad knock to the head. At least we think it would have been sudden death, not a long painful one.
Our other fur-baby (her twin) is looking sooo sad. He's missing his sister heaps - they always used to cuddle up in days like today when the weather is bad. We also think he would have seen her body outside too.
Anyways, thought I'd share as I have been feeling sooo bad today and am all cried out! Can't believe this happend - she's only 2 1/2 years old! Such a healthy happy full of mischief little girl!

Thank you! I'm still in shock! Bella was such a sweet little cat - she'd always go outside with us for a walk with the pram around the house. And she loved watching Gina. We miss her so so much!
We are cremating (sp?) her and will sprinkle her ashes in the garden next week.
Can't believe my baby is dead!

HUGE hugs - we lost of fur baby about 4 months ago now, and its still really sad for us. We were devasted that we had to put him to sleep - its awful to lose them. They are members of the family. I hope that your other little cat can give you lots of cuddles and will help you remember all the wonderful things about the one you lost.

I'm sorry to hear your horribly sad news - my wee kitty was found almost the same way last year. Its so sad especially, like you, we still have his mum and brother... we let them have a sniff and goodbye lick before we buried him (he had just turned a year old the week before)

Big hugs - no matter what anyone says, animals are still part of the family!

So sorry for your loss.

We've lost 2 fur-kids this year, and I like to think that they are playing together with others that we have lost waiting for us.

I'm not sure if you have read it before but there is a really nice poem called The Rainbow Bridge which talks about something similar - (warning I cry just about every time I read this) - you'll have to search for it as my brain is mush at the moment

Thats awful yummymummy pets really do become part of the family and it is always so hard when you lose them. I lost my Chiwhawha on the road a few months ago, she ran out onto the road to chase a piece of paper when stupid boy racer sped around the corner and hit her right in front of me he didn't even stop to see how she was.

's to your family.
