OK this is a question from my DH ...

Im having trouble sleeping and my lower back is beginning to hurt.  He wants to buy me one of  those body pillows ... but I balked at the price ($100) ...

So he has told me I have to go to the forum and see if they work as he thinks it will help support my weight and eleviate my tossing and turning (which will give him a better nights sleep )

So if you have/had one, could you let me know your verdicts please

I had one (we nic named Kenny!). It was great in bed, I just kinda wrapped myself around it. Only bad thing was when I turned onto the other side and it wasn't there and was too hard to take with me!

DH also liked laying on "kenny".

It was like having another body in the bed!

I'm happy to lend you mine if you like, PM me if you're interested.

I never had one of those but I just used a tripillow basically doing the same thing, one end was between my legs and I had the other end going up and under my belly. Worked great. But once you get really far along, nothing is that comfy and you may stop tossing and turning but then you will be up going to the loo constantly hehe

I just used an old (normal) pillow! I found it great because I could squash it however I felt like, and push all the stuffing under my tummy, and I didn't care towards the end if my waters broke and wrecked it.

lilfatty I have one from K-Mart. Cost $35.00

I find it's good overall - I alternate between snuggling into it with it between my legs and placing it behind me to stop me rolling over.

Bodypillows are definitely a personal choice as some people just can't get comfortable with them but for $35.00 it's pretty low risk

Hey there - I bought one, but with DH and the cat in the bed there just wasnt enough room and I struggled to roll over and change positions easily which I found quite frustrating. I got mine from Spotlight for $30 I think.

I had the same problems as SimSam. Found it a pain when I wanted to roll over to the other side. DH used to call it my other hubbie! I got it on sale at Kmart.

I love my body pillow and DP loved mine so much I had to buy him one too. So there is two people and two body pillows in our bed It does take a little bit of getting used to regarding rolling over but I have now got it down to a fine art. I would not be without mine as it allows me to sleep on my side or tilted over a bit more on my tummy without squashing bubs and also keeps my hips aligned with the pillow between my knees. I got mine from spotlight-was about $35 I think

tell him to sleep somewhere else if he doesnt like it. its only going to get worse.
must say i have never had a body pillow or anything else in bed with me and never had any problems except with turning over, which sounds standard.

Bless ... thanks for the advise everyone ...

I got DH to move the bed over against a wall...and that wall is now lined with pillows and it supports my back (I also put a heat pad in the small of my back) and I have a pillow between my legs and a lovely tri pillow to sleep on, now I sleep right through, its amazing.

DH thinks its great as now I sleep like a log
