Just checking something...i worked at a preschool till Friday...and we had Scarlet fever there though that was a while ago and I and bubs seem to be fine..

A child who hasn't been there for a week has a brother that has measles..and one i have a lot of contact with has come down with chickenpox....can either of these be a problem? I have had chickenpox and measles before and on my midwife thing it says I am immune to rubella...I am going to mw today so will ask but just wondered if you guys knew anything about it?

I'm pretty sure that if you've had them before then bubs will get immunity through you.
Its definitely worth a mention to your midwife though, just for peace of mind.

my friend had ALL 3 of her kids get chickenpox as she was preggers with number four. her midwife said that while it can be a problem, it usually isn't and monitored her a bit more carefully. she said also not to worry too much as stress would probably cause more problems than chickenpox itself. BTW bubs and mum were both fine and suffered no ill-effects

yes fortunately i have an appointment at 1pm...we will be there all day with all my questions:) From what I've read if you have had them there's no risk from either an if you haven't there's a risk till 20 weeks...which I am now.

I think those kind of things are worse in the first trimester too, which you've passed
