I think I may have a UTI. Are cranberry tablets ok to take while pregnant? Just thought I would confirm before taking. Thanks!

I took them all the time while pregnant with Gina (for months, 1 daily). I started drinking cranberry juice at the begining to prevent UTI but could not stand in a few weeks so switched to tablets. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it to my mw at the time and it was OK.

I take one a day at the highest strength and have since about 6 weeks. MW said its was ok and said she suggests it to people who are prone to UTI.
If you already have a UTI, double dose and drink the juice as well as taking the tablets.

Thanks everyone. I think it may have been a false alarm as my bodily functions are back to normal today. Baby must have been squishing my bladder! Will take them anyway as I have bought some and dont want to waste them.

what you can also try is the cranberry juice (just make sure you read the label cos lots are actually cranberry "drinks" which contain fairly little of actual cranberry.. so do zilch for you)
I found i didn't like it much, but would have a couple of drinks a day mixed half half with lemonade and it was actually kinda nice. takes the ick factor away
