I am tossing up between a sling or a Moby wrap ------------- Mum to Mr 10, Mr 6 and Mr 4

I have used a sling (borrowed)with my son up until he got too heavy lol but I did find my shoulders start to get sore after awhile. The moby wraps look fantastic, does anyone have one and can give me some feedback? I would want to use it from newborn. Thanks!!!

I've got a Moby... I got it for my birthday last month. I've only used it to carry Xavier round for about 15 minutes (then he got bored and wanted to go and play again) but it was good for that. I had him in a front carry, and his 10kg wasn't too heavy at all! I keep intending to try a back carry but haven't got around to figuring it out yet.

Haven't tried one sorry but have a Dulce and Zoet sling arriving any day and can't wait! I've heard good things about Moby's but in our case our little one has always hated being constrained so tight things like moby's frontpacks etc were out for us. ------------- Mummy to Gabrielle and Ashley |

I've got a Moby D which is the Moby wrap with the additional stretch material at the front (means you can carry toddler size). I'm very happy with it but obviously haven't given it a proper run yet.
Robyn at Scarecrow farms used her little girl as a test case when I was wearing it and I definitely found the weight was evenly distributed (but she wasn't in for long). -------------

What kind of sling were you using?
I have a D&Z sling and can easily carry round miss-11kg for a long time, took a bit of practise to get it right but no it is no prob! ------------- Anna http://lilypie.com">

Thanks for the feedback!! The moby Ds looks gorgeous, but which one to choose?? Anna I have a BabaSling which a friend lent me, it is a sling with a padded bit that sits on your shoulder. The D&Z looks alot more comfortable with the folded over bit, and of course funky designs too!! ------------- Mum to Mr 10, Mr 6 and Mr 4

Hi, yup I'm the one that sells the Moby's so you could definitely consider me biased. I had a Baba Sling before the Moby. It worked okay while she was little but I had a very windy baby and she would spill rather than burp in it. I found when she was in the Moby she could burp.
My baby is also a petite wee thing. A couple of months back I went to put the Baba Sling on because I thought it would be more convenient (i.e. a very quick trip shopping). Within 10 minutes I was heading back out to the car and putting on the Moby. So yes, in my opinion the Moby's are far more comfortable. The feedback on them has been absolutely incredible also. I'm finding around 80% of people come back to me after they've purchased just to tell me how much they love it. That's a high response rate especially since it is unsolicated. The majority of them say they're telling all their friends also. I had one woman ask about a money back guarantee as she had had a broken back, had tried heaps of carriers and none of them worked for her. When I followed up she said it was working brilliantly and she wasn't returning it. If you're unsure, I am happy to provide a money back guarantee. You can trial it for a couple of weeks and so long as it is returned in clean undamaged condition I'll give you your money back. The only thing I ask is that you pay the postage cost.
