Hi there.
What is the best way to store the clothes Kylah has grown out of.. Iv heard people say that the clothes they stored in plastic bags came out all marked and stained. I want to keep all the clothes incase we have another baby.. (i want another he doesnt) Any Suggestions? ------------- ~ Mummy to a beautiful girl ~ |

I have kept Lucy's in a big plastic box with a lid for the past year and had a look at them the other day and they are fine, no marks. Otherwise you could vacumn seal them, I think you can buy the bags from The Warehouse? Good luck  ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

Yeah i was thinking about those.. but them where on earth would i put them..
We went WAY overboard with Kylah and clothes, i have about 10 bodysuits, 10 stretch and grows, 10 singlets, 10 t shirts that are still unworn that dont fit now. Then i have all the 'cuter' stuff i always put on her that is to short for her now. Whats really annoying is.. she doesnt fit newborn length wise as clothes are to short, but if you put a pair of NB pants on her and pick her up they drop off cos they too big.. and 000 is WAY to big but fits perfect length wise.. i cant win! ------------- ~ Mummy to a beautiful girl ~ |

I second the plastic storage boxes with lids that clip down that is what I do with all the clothes that I get given that they need to grow into and I use suitcases as well and the clothes are fine -------------

We have all our "off season" clothes in those plastic stacker boxes in our garage. In other houses we have kept them in the attic. You can get the under bed ones, they are quite good too....we use those for things like handbags / backpacks etc that we might need but not often! We have never had any problems with damp or moths, but sometimes i have put mothballs in the bottom of the boxes (wouldnt do it with baby clothes though) - am sure there is a natural alternative to mothballs, just cant think what it is! ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

spotlight sell bags that you can use to store clothes,blankets etc..they need to be vacumed sealed (instructions on them show you how to do it) and come with a outer bag as well as an inner. They had 2 options- either a jumbo bag for $35 for 2 x large bags for $39.99. We have plastic boxes too, I have one for stuff he has out grown and one for stuff he is still too ickle for. Gotta love presents from friends and family, they have clothed him for the first year.
If you have a measure up you should then be able to get a box that will fit under her cot, or under you bed so is nicely out the way. -------------

I did have those vacuum seal bags from the warehouse but recently chucked them out and put everything into big plastic boxes. The plastic seal bits broke off the bags really easy, and all the clothes were so gross and stained. we have always used the vaccuum bags and they work wonderfully...andkeep really well for years....I dont recommend using them and opening them and redoing all the time though...maybe once or twice but they are meant for long storage - eg a year or more unopened....Def recommend them! We are doing all of Ellas Newborn to 9 month clothing (yes she is only 7 months but a 12 month size!!!) in them for storing for **OMG** the next one one day!!!

I have the kids' clothes in banana boxes in the top of the wardrobes. Haven't had a problem with that. -------------  |
