Hi everyone, this is embarassing but I really need help on this one.

I've always had bad skin because of PCOS but for about a year before becoming pg my skin had cleared up. Well now its making up for lost time and I have pimples (well acne) EVERYWHERE! My face (not too badly surprisingly), my back, under my boobs (I think that's more from my giganta-bossoms rubbing on my stomach! ), and the weirdest one is I've now got them on my stomach, almost in a line down to my belly button.

I'm so self-conscious that I won't go and get fitted for a mat-bra because I'm so embarrassed and I hate it everytime I have to go to the m/w or go for a scan. Is there anything I can do? The only reason I can think of that they've come back is the crazy hormones, but surely I can control them somehow! I've got a pretty good skincare regime which I now have to do all over my body and its still not working.

Can anyone help me? It's just another thing on a big list about this pregnancy thats making me absolutely miserable and I don't want to feel this way at all.

Aww no Emz thats not cool, what about popping into the chemist and speaking to them about it? They may be able to put you onto something that will help? Have you tried that clearsil(I think thats what it is) body wash? Clearsil works well for my DF who gets icky pimples sometimes where he shaves his face and neck.

Yeah it's probably those dam hormones, but maybe try going to a skin specialist. Even ask your MW or the pharmacist if there is anything you can try. Sorry I don't really know.

I'm sure lots of women get pimples in strange places when they are pregnant. I know I have some on my knees at the moment Which I thought was very strange!!

And don't be embarrassed. Your MW is going to see a lot more yet luv he he

I had stupid pimples under my boobs too. And I'm sure you are right that its from giganta boobs rubbing on your stomach. It would explain mine

Thanks, yeah will bring it up next time I'm at the m/w to see if she has any suggestions. Oh you gotta love all of these things that noone ever tells you about pregnancy! (Not that it would put me off - it's just annoying!) I've got more blimin' acne than a pimply teenager!

oh emz big hugs - It really sucks when your body goes rogue on you ay?

I haven't got the pimples but the skin under my boobs is chaffing heaps because of them sweating when I wear a bra (which I have to because mine are ginormous too)

Yeah the MW might even be able to refer you somewhere so it's cheaper than if you just roll up there yourself.

It's ok to feel crappy about this - I often feel cheated when I read about the other girls buying cute maternity tops and bras and I can't even manage a boulder holder. Just hang in there and try to look forward to the good stuff.

cant help with the pimples but the sweaty boobs thing if you put a bit of powder wher it rubs it will help reduce the chafing.   a good excuse to start buying baby powder !?

ive got it terribly too. ive started using a very tiny amount of clean and clear (with the benzyl peroxide) over my chest, my back, and on my cheeks.
i put a dab of clearasil spot clearer on each of my pimples but only every second day, as my skin is very sensitive at the moment.
ive noticed a big difference this week since using it.

Can you use benzyl peroxide on your skin when pg? Cos I used to use proactive but I've been cautious about it during pregnancy.

What about dabbing some tea tree oil on the affected areas? I know some people don't use it during pg but my MW said it was ok...
