Alex has dry skin, and I just can't seem to find a moisturiser that works on him. So far I've tried Huggies, Ecostore and almond oil (it's actually massage oil with chamomile and lavender but I thought it might help).

Aveeno or QV - both from the chemist. See if they can give you any little samples so you dont have to buy a whole tub of something. Also, do you put anything in his bath? A lot of the bath washes really dry out their skin, so nothing in the water is better - thats what we did until recently. ------------- Aimee Hannah 22/10/05 Greer 11/02/08 |

I use QV products on my skin but it never occurred to me to try them on him! Duh 
We use mustela in his bath water, but only a tiny amount (one pump in an adult-sized bath) so it probably is pretty close to being plain water. Perhaps I should try giving that up as well though? ------------- http://www.bump-and-beyond.com">

Madison had really dry skin when you was born and we just used olive oil and massaged that into her skin. It worked a treat, i still use it a couple of times a week.

Or theres this stuff called "Lemnis Fatty Cream" - you have to ask the pharmacist for it as its over-the-counter stuff, but you get a huge tub for $12 and you can use it as a body wash/moisturiser... ------------- http://lilypie.com">

lemnis fatty cream is great. there's also a new brand at some chemists called 'olive' which i'm going to get some of for myself and the kids.

I always used Alpha Keri oil in the bath which was fantastic. Didn't use any soap products for months. Have just bought some Alpha Keri lotion as Charlotte had an itchy rash. Pharmacy reccomended it and have been using it on her elbows aswell as they were really scratchy and dry and within 3 days they were so soft. I have also been using it on my tummy and find it great. I have Lemnis fatty acid cream for the dermititis on my hands and it's quite good too. Hope you find something that helps. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| altho we dont have any probs we love johnsons soothing naturals, and also the pure beginings range....so soft and gentle on her! We have stopped using huggies at all in the shower and gone back to only j and j cause we got cradle cap for first time after using huggies for a week and no j and j!!!! |
