Just follow what you think is right. If you want to eat and you think it is safe go for it. The biggies to stay away from are things that have been left out of the fridge for too long and under cooked stuff. I think have a look at the food safety webite and that will help you.

With Andrew I didn't eat deli foods and the same with Josh.

Nothing with raw egg whites in, like mayo.
Be careful of too much vitamin A.
Avoid tuna and other fish that eat bottom eaters lol (is to do with mercury content)
No cold cuts.
Make sure you rinse all salads and fruit.
No soft cheese.
That's pretty much all you have to worry about.

Basically if I wasn't sure about something I wouldn't eat it.

i agree with cuppatea.. and no sushi cause of the risk of food poisining from the rice.. but i would personally go with what my mw says..I just went by the blue food safety pamphlet in the bounty pack thing.. but it's a totally personal thing:)

start being careful now cause summer will be quite hard....says she who had terrible time last summer!!!

my rule was if it doesnt seem safe or is similar to stuff on the list then dont do it...why risk it!!!

On the mayo thing, it's only homemade mayo you can't have, you're allowed store-bought stuff.

No mock cream etc in cream buns (just learnt this one!)

If you have soft cheeses, you can eat them melted (ie. well cooked) as it gets rid of the bacteria.

Most things that are mass produced have been pasturised (sp?) like the store bought mayo, which means even if it does have raw egg it will still be safe. Can you eat cheesecake hot? cos if so heat it up and that will kill anything suspect anyway.
Oh I read not to eat Mr Whippy Ice cream either, damn that one was hard. Normal ice cream is fine.

Ditto what cuppatea said, anything mass produced is usually OK. Just ask your m/w for a list or something, she should have all of that stuff for you if you haven't got it already.

I checked the food safety website once our pregnancy was confirmed and printed out the list and stuck it on the side of the fridge. I then checked it against the list in the booklet from my MW. There was only a couple of times when I strayed - and that was towards the end but like the others have said trust your intuition.
