i can't believe my little boy is 3!!!! will post some pics tonight when i have more time - have to clean the kitchen after making his daycare cake last night - mickey mouse - he looks slightly psychotic...OOOOOOH and got a huge birthday cake tip that worked fantastically - basically had no ingrediants on tues night so had to make and decorate cake yesterday - the cake recipe I use is beautiful and moist but not too good for crumbles. anyway, made a mix of beaten egg whites (like for meringue) and icing sugar. then smoothed that over the cake. it sets quite hard and makes a perfect canvas for butter cream or whatever. was really impressed and NO CRUMBS.
oh yeah, back to jake. we gave him some duplo and paint and crayons etc. Mum is giving him and easil. he is currently wandering around asking about more presents,. |
