I had my midwifes appointment yesterday and it went really well, got to hear babys heartbeat, and i could also hear baby moving, my midwife also showed me how to feel where baby was.
I have booked my 20wk scan for friday 2nd Dec, and thankfully i dont need to drink any water, just not go to the toliet in the 1/2 hour before hand. My midwife did say to me though that given how much baby was moving while she was trying to find the heartbeat that i shouldnt get my hopes up about finding out the sex. Told this to my husband and he asked if i would have another scan later in the pregnancy and i said only if it was needed for medical reasons. So fingers crossed that in a wks time we find out the sex but if we dont oh well, it will be a nice surprise ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Cool! Good luck i have my first appt tomorrow hopefully ill get a scan to find out exactually how far along i am (have a feeling im a lil bit further than i think) and to see how many beans are growing since i was on fertility drugs.
Got fingers crossed you can find out the sex of ur little one on Dec 2

Good luck! It makes sense that they should scan you, given the use of fertility drugs. Having said that, since when does the NZ health system make sense! ------------- Becca, mum of 2 girls & 3 boys |
