Jessica was born with a flat spot on her head and the MW says she must of got it from where she was laying in me its on the side of her head and its geting worse i try and put a blanket rolled up by her head so she can't get to that spot but shes a stuborn wee thing and twists her head around to get to that spot. I do put her to sleep on the other side during the day but she doesn't sleep to well like that. Anyone got any ideas advice???? -------------

Spencer favoured one side stongly and we took him to see a chiropractor, he had been breech and it was more comfortable for him to stay in that postition. Also try wedges or a safety sleep and also a mirror on the side you would like them her to face. He was stubborn to and would really fight to have his head to the right.
You can also see cranial oesteopaths, my friend took her newborn to one as he had a ridge from where he had been stuck (was to big to get out and had been wedged against her pelvis) after a few appointments the ridge was gone. -------------

Jack was the same, would pretty much only turn his head one way. we took him to an osteopath and it made a world of difference. We did exercises every day with him and now he lies both ways. We turned him around in his cot as it encouraged him to turn to see us when we walked in the room, and all toys were also placed on the other side of him. He still has a slight flat spot but is barely noticable now, and should even out when he starts crawling.
At the end of the day, unless it is really, really bad they usually right themselves when bubs is crawling or sitting as they are spending less time on their backs. If she is really reluctant to turn the other way though it may pay to see someone about it ------------- ">

My Mercedes was exactly the same, in fact I'm sure I posted about it ages ago! She would twist to get back to the same side again too. I had the Plunket nurse check and she didn't have a torticullos (sp) and when on her tummy she could lift her head straight up so they weren't too worried about it. She eventually grew out of it, and the flat spot on her head has self corrected as she's grown.
You can tell which one she is in all these photos coz her head is always facing the same side...
