Okay, i don' think i'm under a particular amount of stress- no more than usual, or no more than everyone else, but every so often (maybe once a month for the past three months) i have felt really anxious. like now. i got an assignment back and felt a bit nervous about the result. opened it - passed and now am feeling realy butterfly in the tummy. I don't feel like this is something i need medicaiton for or anything, but i'd love some suggestions how to relieve the feeling - and don't say baths cause i feel worse.

A glass of wine that does it for me.

Fresh air? Going out on your own for 1/2 hour walk to think straight and relive tension?

Lots of teas like St Johns Wart or Bach flower tea have anxiety relief properties to them. Even some rescue remedy if you wanted to get some from your health shop. Busymum is on the right track with the walk but I would say get a little sun, sun makes your brain produce Seratonin which makes you . As John Kirwin says, know your triggers and know to ask for help

or your anxiety is making you sick, which does happen.
Breathing is a huge thing with anxiety, breath thru your nose and in for 3 seconds and out for 4 seconds.
HOpe your not getting a tummy bug or something

My counceller said to make sure you breathe properly as well..have your hand on your stomach and your chest..make sure you are breathing from your stomach not your chest as you don't get enough that way..it really has stopped panic attacks for me..:)

Yeah I feel like that sometimes for no reason (I can find) and taking some deep breaths is an amazing remedy. Sounds dumb but it really does work for me.

its not dumb:) apparently its scientific... if you breathe thru your chest and not stomach you arent getting enough oxygen(well to be more precise you are getting too much CO2) and that can start off the panicky feelings and by then its too late to stop the attack..just breathing can help things back to normal:)
