Is anyone (DH's) or anyone's DH doing Movember?

The husband hasn't before, but informed me last night that yon mo would be grown this year. Heavens above! No more kisses for him until December!!

It's such a good cause though (and the rego fee of $30.00 will be off-set by the razor blades we don't have to buy! )

I jsut wondered if anyone else was getting involved - either directly (DH's) or by default (DW's)

Nat started talking about it last night... not sure if he's serious or not, but I let him know the rules after they were mentioned on Breakfast this morning:

- start clean-shaven
- no joining sideburns to mo (cause then that's a beard)
- no joining handlebars to chin hair (cause then that's a goatee)
- a small complimentary chin coverage (a "tickler") is allowed

Should be interesting!

My DP did it last year and found it so uncomfortable and itchy, he couldn't wait til 1 December so he could shave it off! So I am pleased he is not doing it this year, I hate facial hair!

lol Sparkle!! A lot of the doctors did it at my work last year, and then held a vote at the end of the month for 'best' (or worst depending on how you look at it ) mo...was hilarious. Was very hard to take some of them seriously!! (I wonder what their patients thought??!!)

Mine's not. I know it's a good cause but it's so gross.
I wish they could come up with something else. DH actually thought he might let the lawns grow for a month instead

haha aprilfools, I'll tell my DH that one - he'd love an excuse not to mow the lawns for a month!!

fleury!

And Jess ... I didn't say no special cuddles ... yeesh! No reason why *I* should suffer as well!! Just no kisses!

I didn't know that they weren't allowed to make a goatee though ... crap. That's what he was going to do! I don't know if I can stand a proper mo. Uh oh!

I wonder if he's registered yet? Perhaps I can just donate the $30 to someone else ...

All the younger guys at work are doing it - it was so funny to stop in there this morning and see everyone clean shaven in preparation! There's about 13 people, most from our department, and a couple from Micro.

Should be good for a laugh - I'm pleased DH isn't doing it though!

Mine in the military too & therefore ain't "allowed" to grow facial hair. Oh what a shame

But apparently DH can't grow mo's anyway as he ends up with a gap under his nose and the 2 bits won't join up. Sounds terrible if you ask me...

My DH is doing it, and also ends up with a slight ginga tinge to it so should be very attractive. I think it makes him look old ......but its all for a good cause.

All the guys at work are doing it and its always slightoly amusing as they compete as to who can grow the best etc.

Took a pic tonight after he came back from his "movember club" meeting. The final windup "meeting" is on Dec 1st.

Note "meeting" is code word for Pub.

LOL
My DH did it last year and even though I thought ewww! at first, it really is for a great cause. I thought he'd do it this year but seems he enjoyed it even less than me and has decided not to.
Anyways I think it's for a really good cause and am supporting all the guys doing it from work. They all and anyone else doing it are stars me thinks

Mine's in again this year.  Made the mistake of having a family portrait done last November... I looked knackered because I had a newborn, my beautiful new baby looked like a strange monkey-child (don't get family portraits with a 6-week-old!!), and he looked like a mexican porn star.  Did the Merv Hughes handlebars mo... .  I hate to think what he'll come up with this time round!

Mine is doing it again this year, last year he grew the most horrific handle bar moustache... I'm dreading what he's going to "create" this year... He shaved his goatee off on Wednesday night and I didn't even notice till yesterday can't say I like him clean shaven...so I say go the mo and he can have as many kisses as he likes!

There's so many of us on here with Dh's doing it - least we can all be grossed out together!

Well my DF has the same likelihood of growing a moo-stash as a pre-pubescent boy - Poor thing. Really knocks him down when his younger brother (by 4 years) doesn't shave for like three weeks and ends up looking like Jesus himself.

So he's not doing it - Woohoo! But then again, cos the need to shave is rare for him, he hardly ever does it but still gets stubbly and scratchy which doesn't mix well with my super sensitive skin. His thoughts on that is "Well hey, at least you can save money on that exfoliating crap by kissing me"

Nice
