Ok I have a confession to make!
What with C being really sick this week I have been using sposies (oh the shame!!! lol) and I have only just found *gulp* last weeks nappies in the bucket
The nappies themselves are fine but the inserts have what looks like burn marks on them x 1,000
It's definitely not poop marks because she doesn't poop in her nappy.
I've just put them all through a 55oC hot water heavy duty wash with persil and nappysan but they still stink and are still brown
Anyone know how I can get them properly clean and white again?
Many thanks
Shameful MCN agent sposie user of Auckland

Give them a wash with baking soda and vinegar (OR soak them in napisan and hot water for a couple of hours) then pop them on the line in the sun (if it comes out again LOL). They'll be fresh and white in no time.
And don't worry...disposables have their place :)

I would give them a good scrub through (by hand) with dishwashing liquidsoak, then a hot soak in napisan, then good wash and hang on the line if you can. The dishwashing liquid should get it all out. Oh and do you have dettol fresh rinse stuff? Ever since I started put that in with every wash, we have had no stinky nappies at all, so might give them a little extra boost as well.

Hi Toni have no suggestions but good luck with it all!
Just a side note though... is Dettol Fresh different to normal dettol? Just wondering!

Hmmm, not sure why I thought it was Dettol Fresh. It has a green lid and label - Dettol Laundry Sanitising Rinse with Eucalyptus.

I have the dettol fresh laundry sanistiser. Comes in a white bottle with a green lid. I have been using this in the fabric softener dispenser for a while now and Sam's nappies come out smelling great!!! Love it!!

I soaked them over night in nappysan and then put them through a hot wash with the dettol fresh laundry sanistiser and they all smell fresh and new now, but some of the older FB inserts are still a tad stained. Might have to wait until the sun returns (one day *sigh*) and put them outside for a bit

Good to hear it all turned out mostly ok... Im sure the sun will come out soon (we must be due for summer!) and the inserts will be all unstained again
