I just weaned my 7 month old to a bottle and he doesnt seem at all interested in solids anymore. He's been on solids since 4 months (a very big boy) and has eaten A LOT at each meal. Now he is having formula he is refusing most solids (although I did eat a custard and fruit one the other day).

Has anyone else experienced this? Could it just be that he is now getting a lot more milk (although he struggles to get down 200ml at most meals) than he was before and if fuller?

Kaleb had a solid strike during the week and we had recently changed him from the Stage 1 to stage 2 formula. I put it down to his body adjusting to the new formula so your little one is probably doing the same.
I just kept offering solids (he started to suck it off the spoon which was outside his mouth ) and he's now pretty much back to normal although I am waiting a bit longer after a bottle before giving him his solids (he used to want them straight after finishing bottle but now doesn't finish whole 200mls then wants solids about 20-30mins later).

My boy did this to me and it drove me nuts for about a month. I ended up talking to a few dietations who advised different things. I tried going back to simple and plain baby rice (the 4 month stuff) to get him eating off a spoon again. I also gave him finger foods to eat by himself. Once he had sorted the spoon thing out again I went straight on to the red tins (6 months) and he was fine eating them. Josh also loves his milk so I was told to give him food first and then the bottle and that worked well for us.

I suspect he really likes the milk so is filling up on that. It's not really a problem at 7mos but towards 8/9 mos you'll be wanting to offer food first and bottle second.
