I can sympathise. There are some idiots firing them at cars around our area, they almost got my car on Friday when I was driving past. They are lucky it didn't hit me - I would have stopped and said (yelled) something but I had a screaming baby in the car

Someone in our area but not too close (thank goodness) was letting some off at 1.30am last night! We could only just hear them but I would've hated to have been their neighbours. Some people just don't have any consideration for others.

Im soooo sick of them too. I wish they were banned, when I was on my way home lastnight there were a group of youths aiming them onto the motorway setting them off. I rang the police to let them know but with it being a Saturday night Im not sure if they would have got there. This was about 9.30pm

What the hell are people doing letting them off so early in the morning? apart from it being totally inconsiderate its not like they would be very interesting to see would it?

i guess its mostly alcohol:( not that that's an excuse.. i used to love fireworks but not any more..same thing happening around here..though at night instead of the morning..

KylahsMum it's illegal to sell them(and therefore buy them) outside of the 4 days upto and including the 5th..but there are no laws(sadly) about when they can be let off other than that..big displays have to have permits but otherwise no restrictions..it sucks:( and it wasn't any better this year with only 4 days instead of 10 and being 18 instead of 14:(

ummmmm apparently it is also Diwali???? altho i thought that was later that seems to be the excuse for our moron neighbours who let them off last nite while i was out and DH was home....

pity them who had DH romp up yell at them and then call them later to tell them he was calling the police...who were useless!!!

BUT he got his own back this am at 7am (they were all still in bed) when i let him take the blower vaccumm on deck and go for it...umm not only does that make noise but the dogs barking at it are really noisy!!!! Funny but they were all up by 7 30 - ummm he left a minute or so gap and then restarted - just to make sure they didnt go to sleep again!

two dogs, two cats and a baby here and they are right over our back fence!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like our ex-moron neighbours. I'm so glad they're gone now. They used to convert their fireworks into mini bombs that made the loudest noise. If you weren't expecting it, it would really make you jump.

Its been awful around here too. Starting to quieten down each night now though, but has felt a bit like Iraq some nights with them flying over our house. The other night someone was letting them off really close by at 3am, and they were the really loud bangy ones too. It was awful! Ollie wasnt phased though - but our fur baby didnt like it at all and hid under the duvet!
