Long rant beware..............................................

Drama queen post coming now titled "MY DAY FROM HELL"

SO I dropped my mum nice and early(7.30am) to the hosp for her day operation and got the kids to school and caregiver fine.

Work was busy as, I had babies coming out of my ears then in my lunch break the clinical leader popped in for some forms for me to fill out so after 30mins of this she left and I had more babies coming out of my ears. So no lunch break but that was cool I had my holiday firmly set in my mind.

I got a call from the hosp on my way to pick up the kids to say mum was ok after op but having trouble waking up so she wouldnt be ready to be picked up today. SO after picking up the kids I raced down to her house for a quick loo stop before heading to paknsave for last minute supplies to pack. While there I locked my keys inside her house. SO I go back to the car crapping myself not knowing what to do. My cellphone batt kept dying everytime I tried to make a call. So here I am with kids trapped in my car with no car keys or keys to get inside. 30mins later mums neighbour comes home and thankgoodness she is a friend of mine so she gives me her car to go to the hosp to mums keys so I can get into her house to get my key. She takes my 3kids while I race off.

I get to the hosp and mums awake (yay) I explained what a DICK I am and ask for her key SHe then tells me they are at my house as she had stayed lastnight.... OMG nearly crying, soaking wet from the pouring rain I have been in and out of with no jacket and jandels on I use her phone to track down my landlord for my spare set of keys. He is  a cop and still at work finishing up an arrest but was then going home. I leave the hosp to head to his place in a state of share panic as my kids are still with the neighbour and I have no phone to contact her with. As Im heading out the carpark I think I was having an internal breakdown that I totally forgot about paying the guy at the toll so I follow the car in front of me only to see in my sidemirror the arm thing coming down behind me so I stop and walk back to pay my dollar with a line of cars behind me laughing  I go back to the neighbour to see if I can grab the keys and head to my house, She is laughing thinking Ive lost control little does she know how nuts I am. SO I finally find the landlord and head to my place get inside to get mums keys then head back to mums to get inside her house to get mine Mum lives 15mins away from me so all up it took me 2hours of driving back and fowards just to get inside All b'cos Im the dumb arse that locked my keys inside

You're not alone in locking your keys in the house - I've done it two times since living here, and both times I had to call my mum away from her job to drive out here (30 mins drive) because DP happened to be overseas for work both times! arrgghh..

Hope today is a better day! (although the weather isn't looking very good!)

Teehee, I make a habit of locking myself out of the house, I've had to break a window twice to get in...

Awwww I thought something had happened yesterday for you not to have been online last night! (Well not before I went to bed, anyway.) It's so panicking isn't it? When Briona was a baby I went to the docs for a checkup with the 2 girls and locked my keys inside the car. Hannah and I (I carried Briona) walked 2 or maybe 3kms to the nearest Plunket rooms to borrow a stroller, so we could walk a further 1-2 kms to the nearest friend's house. Hannah was a champ! For the last leg I was carrying Briona and Hannah was in the stroller. How stressful! And the most irritating thing was that my double stroller was in the boot of the car

Hope you had a better day today

LOL I think I have finally gotten over yesterday's fisaco and can totally laugh at the situation (well maybe not laugh out loud but smile) Today was much better and only managed to turn around to go home twice (forgot tooth brushes and teddies and then forgot Mercedes clothes and work notes that needed to be sent) before actually making it to the airport
