Ok so in September Josh got a wicked nappy rash that ended up being a reaction to sposies and after 3 different types of creams and 1 week of showering him clean I thought that it might be over. But NO it had come back this time in spots. There is a random rash in different places on his butt.

What have you guys used to clear up the rash?? We are back tot eh dr again tomorrow to see what we can do this time.

Sudocream (sp?) and zinc and castor oil are the two we have used. I only use them though if a lot of nappy off time doesn't clear it. Spencer reacts to the wipes so we have to use cloth ones with water and just a little bit of tea tree oil, I can use wipes when out but not too many or his bum flairs up. (just an idea of something else that might be causing it this time)

Fay had wicked nappy rach a couple of weeks ago following diarrhoea from 2 lots of antibiotics in a month. Her poor bum was raw and each time I had to clean her up the skin came off on the wipes, so we did the shower and nappy off thing for a few days with lots of sudocrem and barrier cream, but it did nothing. My local pharmacist suggested a cream called Daktozin which has an antifungal agent in it. Within 24 hours the skin looked like it was healing and in 4 days it had cleared up. Then switched on to ordinary nappy balm and I am washing her cloths in Canestan and so far no recurrence.
Hope you find a solution soon becks as its pretty miserable for both of you isn't it?

Don't think he is teething, but could be a possibility. We are off to the dr again tomorrow so i'll see what he says.

Hmm sounds likes Xandas nappy rash that was not actually nappy rash,it was hand, foot & mouth disease, so just to eliminate the possibility, check the palms of his hands and soles of his feet for little red spots or blisters.

Will do that when he gets up and then I can ask the dr about that when we see him.
