Gabriella was sent home with her first accident register form from daycare today....my hear sunk when DH bought her in and pulled out the form...things raced through my head and i gave her a big hug before I read it....

turns out she toppled (well she is trying to stand I guess!) onto the bookshelf and hit her jaw - and I am guessing that she obviously cried = something they dont often see....

the form says it took a teething ring (and cuddles from her favourite carer) to settle her...poor bubba...

I imagine we have loads of these forms coming in the next few years but the first one was the hardest!!!

BTW she is fine, no injury, no bruises, no cuts etc...but am glad they took the time to report it, write it down and let us know - just in case! Talk about attack of the guilts for a working mummy on this one!

I'm used to them now, took a little while to get used to them, then the biting ones came home (andrew was being bitten). Now it's usual for me or DH to sign the accident register once a week for Andrew.

Good to hear she is all good thou.

It must have been the day for it yesterday. Charlotte came home with a huge bandage on her leg - turns out she fell over and scraped it. Its the 4th time in as many weeks something has happened. Oh the joys of having an unsteady toddler!

Yep Andrew's preschool write down every bump and knock. They would rather be safe than sorry and tell us.

I remeber the first one I got for Xanda was because he was bitten. It was horrible, I felt so bad. But as Becks said I am now use to signing the accident book once a week, the other day he had two accidents in one day, a first for the childcare apparently.

Gee, don't feel bad for that! The only diff with SAHM's is that we don't have to write it down and show anyone!!!

yeah as a preschool teacher we HAVE to write it down..both to cover us and just to report what actually happened and what action was taken..i used to hate giving them to parents to sign as some really got upset:( especially if it's a knock to the head or face as well.. so we didn't write down the occasional scraped knee if it was just a tiny bit..would just show parents but anything like a bump to the face etc even if it caused nothing visible had to be written in.. believe me it's horrible from the teacher end too:(

oh believe me I know...her main carer is in love with ella...shes her bubba!!!! remember ella was the first baby, only full time bubba for a month or so and is so damn cute that the carer is going to miss her so much when she has leave for 5 weeks soon....she is upset enough about that let alone ella hurting herself...

oh yeah no report but bonked her head again today...OMG!!!
