does anyone else have really sweaty kids? jake has always been a hot kid - from a baby when we consistently gave him heat rash. last night when i went in to rescue him from Taine the vampire, he was coverd in sweat - and not from the terror of Taine. he sleeps naked (at his insistence). I can't really open the windows as they open onto the street. I am thinking of putting a desk fan in there but a bit scared of what i might find the next day. any suggetions for hot sweaty kids? when we lived in japan it used to be soooooo hot and humid at night - we had summer sheets that were more like towels - they took the sweat away. It was great. THe main problem with sweatiness is just that later in the night it gets cooler and the kids are wet from sweat - they get cold and then crawl in with me - all moist. ick.

You could put a security latch on the window to leave it open if you feel comfy with that (depends on your area of town I guess).

Yes- its so disgusting My 4mnth old with BO
I curse myself now for calling him Kaly Belly Smelly

I night sweat aswell & just use light PJs & light blankets & shower first thing. I have warm blankets at the foot of my bed, ready for when the sweat is cooling down & i start to get cold.

Ella sometimes does too, I'm never sure what to do with her. Whether to get her up and changed and risk a. Waking her and b. getting more clothes soaked and sweaty, whether to cover her so she doesn't get cold later and risk roasting her further or whether to leave her and hope she doesn't freeze!

My girl's a hot bod too, I only ever have her in a singlet at the moment, otherwise her little cheeks go bright red and she sweats big time . She has summer sheets on and always sleeps with her arms out of them anyway (her choice - Mummy tries to tuck them in but they always escape!) She used to wear a sleep sack at night but now she just wears an all-in-one and if the weather gets any hotter she'll probably only have a singlet on at night.

But, yeah, its hard with hot kids, not so easy to keep taking clothes off!

Andrew is as well and I put him to bed with boxers and a singlet on and only the sheet, after he gets up to go to the toilet at night I put another blanket on him and that seems to help him.

I have taught Xanda how to pull his blanket up if he gets cold, I was sick of him crawling in bed with me in the wee hrs of the morning. He still climbs in bed with me though but it is a little later now, so I still get a semi decent sleep.
