I know I shoudn't complain about him sleeping but he's missed nearly two feeds! My six month old has been asleep in the back of the car (parked in the garage with the doors open)since we got back from shopping just after lunch.

I've been in to check him a few times and he is sound asleep. He never normally sleeps more than and hour during the day.

Should I leave him to wake up when he wants or give him a little nudge?

Personally I'd wake him, especially if he's missed two feeds and you have him on a 3/4hrly feeding schedule. It might make it very difficult for you later on in the evening/night, to get him settled for his big sleep.

Typical men!! hehehehe.

But yes I would have woken him. I didn't let Maddie sleep more than around 3 hours sometimes 4.

i would have seen if he had woken by taking him out of the car...(bad habit btw esp with summer coming and today was a scorcher!!!)..and if he stayed sleepy and wanted to sleep then put him in cot...could guarantee with ella i might get 15 mins max after doing that....

I would leave him, he will wake if he gets too hungry and baby generally sleep really well at night if they have slept well during the day.

I would generally wake Gina up too as I find a long afternoon nap mucks up her night sleep and she won't go to bed until very late - like midnight sometimes!

Well after his decent nap and missing a feed, he woke at 4.30 this morning! Then at 5.30 and has been awake ever since! Think I'll wake him next time! Oh well -I know now!
