Hi everyone,

My husbands nana has passed away (23rd November at 9.22pm) and I would like to put something in the paper that is really nice, as we were very close to her and she is going to be sadly missed, especially by DH.

Can anyone suggest some nice - words etc - or even some websites to have a look at?

Nana was 96, and Harlan was her number 11th GREAT grandchild.

Aww, sorry to hear that Lissy. My DHs great nana and grandfather both passed away in the last few months, and I kinda wish now we had done something like that - esp as Han was the first and only great, great grandchild. Can't think of anything off the top of my head, but hopefully someone will be able to help.

Thanks everyone.  I know that she is 96 and had a good life, but when you spending so much time with someone it is very hard!

Sorry for your loss Lissy. 96 is amazing isnt it and somehow not the same "sad" as someone younger (at least thats what I found). How about something like "At 96 years of ages .......has successfully completed her fantastic life. She will be greatly missed by her children........and her....grnadchildren and her.....great grandchildren."

I say that because when I attended the funeral of a great uncle of mine I got the feeling that his death was somehow "right". And I mean that in the fact that he had done it. He'd lived a good life right to the end and it was complete.

Does that make sense?
