Hope the counselling was worth while Kelly. Big hugs. Really hope you are able to sort things out between you.

Slightly off topic/ and slightly thread jacking (sorry kel )- has anyone attending a relationship course / couselling or whatever they called, before there is an actually "issue/problem",...like to help open lines of communication etc? Was iy any good etc? Where do u go? TIA

i did it after a problem(his problem not mine..long story) and initially i was quite annoyed that she implied i needed to change a bit too..but she was right i needed to learn to listen more and it really really helped with our communication..our relationship is a million times better...partly due to a fabulous councellor though...

personally i would recommend it before a problem..would have been great for us!

We had to do pre-martial counselling before our pastor could agree to marry us...he was the one who took us through it.

Highly recommend it.

Hope it went well, Kellie - good on you for going, too.  Sometimes counselling seems to make things feel a bit worse before they get better, so don't kick yourself if that happened, heaps of people find that's how it goes!

Kellz, we did pre-marital counselling with our pastor - it was pretty good (though could have gone further, I think).  The course was one that heaps of people offer - called "prepare" or something like that - anyway, it's a course designed for couples about to marry who have not yet lived together, and the creators of it also have others for people already married, one for people living together, one for blended families, etc, etc - I think the one for married folk is called "enrich".  Maybe a local church would be able to tell you who offers it?

Hey everyone..  The session went well until i burst into tears when i had to explain why we were there...

Anyway we both feel it went well.. We are going back for a few more sessions and working on a few different goals... First is open communication...

and then the trust thing and also Im continuing alone to help with my low self esteem... help me become a sronger person.

Hubby and I are feeling alot closer than we have ever felt which feels great...

Looking forward to next session in 2 weeks time...

Thnaks everyone

Good for you guys!
So cool to aim to spend time doing things together too -it is so easy to let that all go out the door once you have a baby.
Great that it went well.
